This is the big one. Injectable human growth hormone. The center of all the controversy.
This is what supposedly went into Roger Clemens butt. What some bodybuilders are abusing. What Congress wants to turn into a scheduled drug.
We take the stance that when used properly, under medical supervision, the prescription form of hgh is a good thing.
The approved usage of hgh is for people having a hormone deficiency. Their pituitary glands are just not producing a large enough amount.
The most common medical therapy is to use injections for children who are hormone deficient. Treatment can help them grow a few extra inches. The FDA approves of this use for the hormone.
Another common use is as an anti-aging treatment. The hormone level drops rapidly as you get older. The theory here is that by increasing your hgh levels, you can start to reverse the signs of physical aging. Though the FDA does not approve of this usage, it is not illegal.
What is illegal is people buying hgh over the internet without a prescription. What is even more illegal is using a false name to purchase it without a prescription.
What is questionable is the use by adults of large amounts of human growth hormone.
This is what is done by athletes seeking performance enhancement. This is what bodybuilders do to put on extra muscle bulk. The FDA really hates this use. Congress isn’t too happy either.
Totally and absurdly stupid is children under the age of 18 using growth hormone for performance enhancement. They already have high levels. The amount of pharmaceutical hgh that they would have to take would be very expensive. Costing thousands of dollars per month. How do they pay for it? Sicko parents?
Everybody, the FDA, Congress, Sylvester Stallone and even the bodybuilders hate that usage.
Something needs to be done. What is the question? Can we protect the young without infringing on the rights of the aging? Can we stop abuse while maintaining a dialogue about proper usage?
Who, what, when, where, and why will be covered in the injectable hgh category. We will examine all the questions. We will cover the history. We report on all the medical research. We will search for a consensus.

Admin,
I was currently on prescription HGH Saizen. And after 4 days of about 1iu to 1.5iu i started feeling a tight neck or possible swollen thyroid. Not sure. I currently have stopped and going to see doc on Monday. Have you heard of anyone either having allergic reactions, or thyroid problems with taking that low of dose to start. The symptoms are still persistant even after stopping on thursday .

I don’t know about allergic reactions but muscle tightness and gland swelling can be on the hgh side effects list.
Not knowing your details i don’t want to specualte any further.
1iu to 1.5 iu does not seem like a starter dosage of human growth hormone.
Maybe for bodybuilding but the anti-aging starter dosage is usually lower.
