Secretagogue Gold An HGH Review

February 14th, 2008 · 472 Comments

This is another from Maximum Performance ( MHP ) and Dr. Vincent C. Giampapa. We have previously done a review of their natural hgh releaser Secretagogue One.

What is a secretagogue?  It is any substance that causes the body to naturally release more hormones.

This time we have a solid list of ingredients:

Secretagogue Augmenting Factors: ( fancy term for growth hormone releasers) 5,220 mg
+ Glycine
+ L-glutamine
+ L-tyrosine
+ GABA
+ L-citruline
+ Alpha GPC (glycerlphophorylcholine)
+ Pyroglutamic  acid
+ L-lysine (as L-Lysine HCL)
+ Broad bean (l-dopa)

Right there is a great gh stack.  The only part we do not like is the lack of disclosure of the exact amount of each ingredient.

Secretagogue Modulating Complex:  486 mg
Hepatic Restoration Factors: ( fancy term for liver support)
+ Choline (as choline bitarate)
+ Inositol
+ Milk Thistle extract (80% silymarin)
+ Shitake mushroom extract
+ Maitake mushroom extract
+ Reishi mushroom extract
Glycation Regulation Factors: (fancy term for a form of sugar regulation)
+ Banaba leaf extract
+ Alpha lipoic acid
+ Chromium (as chromium dinicotinate glycinate)
Pituitary Support & IGF-1 Co-Factors: (just a fancy term)  245 mg
+ Magnesium oxide
+ Niacin
+ Zinc citrate
+ D-calcium pantothenate (pantothenic acid)
+ Pyridoxine HCL
+ Manganese sulfate
+ Thiamin HCL
+ Folic acid
+ Cyanocobalamin

Yes that is a lot of different things.  In this case, they are a lot of good things and theoretically in good amounts.  Once again, we think that as consumers, we should have a right to know exactly what we are taking.

On a lighter note, this is one of those products that we took the ingredients off the box.  We bought 3 boxes and rationed it to our guinea pigs.   Everybody liked it.

One person liked Secretagogue One better.   Eight people liked this product best.  All were upset that I was forcing them to try something different.

The main difference, in the releaser formulation, between the two products is that Secretagogue One has anterior pituitary  and Secretagogue Gold uses Alpha GPC.  Alpha GPC is a form of choline that has been clinically proven to release growth hormone.  We wish they made a product with both.

This is a fine product.  The suggested retail price is $89.99.  However, you can buy this hgh supplement online for $44.00.  If you cycle your product based on a five days on and two days off schedule, one box lasts for 1 ½  months.  That is an effective cost of only $30.00. A good deal.

We have to mark the product down because of lack of full disclosure on the amounts of each ingredient in this proprietary formulation.

Secretagogue Gold receives a product rating of B+.

You speak of STACKING! Just exactly what is STACKING and the purpose?

  • 2 hgh truths // Feb 16, 2008 at 3:39 pm

We added stacking to our list of posts to write. We will try to have at least a short version done by Wednesday.

Basically it is the combining of different human growth hormone releasing agents into one hgh supplement.

  • 3 brian // Mar 3, 2008 at 9:36 pm

what is the site i order the secretagogue gold for $40.

  • 4 hgh truths // Mar 4, 2008 at 8:56 am

    Brian,
Sites are constantly changing their prices. You need to do a search on google or try nextag to find the best current prices to buy hgh.

  • 5 Rich // Mar 16, 2008 at 5:35 am

Thank you!!!!! I was searching all of the ‘crap’ websites which listed the same products over and over with no real reviews. Until I found this one. Ok so now that I am centering on Secretagogue gold is there a reason I can buy anterior pituitary (75mg) and add it to this product?

Thanks again for sorting out the truth! Way to go!
    How do we support you?

  • 6 admin // Mar 16, 2008 at 8:38 am

    Rich,
    You are welcome.

There is no reason you can’t go buy some anterior pituitary and take it also. I would suggest trying the Secretagogue Gold alone first then mix in the pituitary. This is just so you can know how it effects you.

We will eventually do a few posts on how you can combine some different products together and get higher level results.

First there are more reviews to post.

As far as suport goes, any book marking or social media mentions that you feel like doing are greatly appreciated.

  • 7 Rich // Mar 16, 2008 at 11:08 am

Brian, I don’t want to wear out my welcome. I am going to try secretagogue gold by itself (ordered already). Am I correct that pituitary gland as in RAW PITUITARY CONCENTRATE (BOVINE ORIGIN) is the same as anterior pituitary gland?

  • 8 admin // Mar 16, 2008 at 7:38 pm

The concentrate is a stronger than straight pituitary. There is also a more specific peptide complex but I do not know of any company that sells it on its own.

    Questions are always welcome.

  • 9 Rich // Mar 18, 2008 at 12:13 pm

Brian, is there a gain or loss to increasing the frequency of the dosages? I like to take stuff before my workouts. So should I take a dose (on an empty stomach) at 4 PM. Possibly take it in the morning 2 hrs before I eat breakfast? My thinking is that this is a relatively cheap product to be on if it can actually increase GH production. So I don’ t think that the cost per serving should be a limiting factor. Just the effect per serving. Have any of your testers played with the dosages and noted any effects?

  • 10 admin // Mar 18, 2008 at 3:06 pm

There would be no loss but there should be some gain. How much really depends on you. Age being the biggest factor. The older you are the more the gain because older people are starting from lower growth hormone levels.

The best time to take the product is at bedtime on an empty stomach. Second best is in the morning at least an hour before eating.

A minimum of 30 minutes before a workout on an empty stomach would come in third.

I use value per serving when grading products. This takes into account both effect and price.

One of my testers is in the middle of a three month cycle and using a product before bedtime and just as he wakes up. Says he is feeling great and getting excellent benefits from his workouts. Age 47.

I personally have played around with different combinations of dozens ingredients.

After more information is built into the base posts of this website, I will do some writing about various ideas for different products to take for assorted reasons at varying times of day.

  • 11 Rich // Mar 18, 2008 at 4:07 pm

I am also 50 and researching this pretty heavily. Which is how I got to you. I intend to follow your 47 yr olds pattern. At bedtime and at wakeup. I will chime in here every once and while, both to look for your advice and possible upgrades as well as to provide my anecdote.

    Thanks!

  • 12 admin // Mar 18, 2008 at 9:26 pm

The only additional advice I have is that if this is your first time working with hgh supplements, take your time. Just take it once per day for the first month and maybe the whole first three month cycle.

Be patient. You will end up with better results in the long run.

  • 13 Jason // Mar 23, 2008 at 1:19 pm

While researching HGR for the last two hours and finding only amino acid ingredients in most of the products, your website finally gave me the trusted information I needed to make a decision on which product to purchase. I am a forty one year old weight lifter searching for a non anabolic direction to take to obtain the results I am looking for. Any stacking suggestions would be appreciated.

  • 14 admin // Mar 24, 2008 at 7:40 am

Since you are commenting here I am going to assume you are planning on buying this product.

Secretagogue Gold is already a stack. The first suggestion would be to just take it for a month leaving the rest of your routine stable.

This gives you a base line for developing a program.

What I have done in the past is add 2 grams of OKG at bedtime three days per week. Just swallow the capsules with the Gold.

Another thing that I have found effective is a combination of arginine and niacin in a 5 to 1 ratio. Take this 30 minutes before a workout on an empty stomach. Start with 500 mg of arginine to 100 mg niacin. Increase up to 4 times that amount.

You want straight niacin here not the no flush variety.

Remember to look at this as a program over time. If you try to just boost your hgh levels in one big shot your body fights back. If you cycle and vary how you are pushing, you end up with better results.

  • 15 Jason // Mar 24, 2008 at 4:12 pm

I already take arginine and glutamine. I will incorporate niacin into my routine. What is OKG? I appreciate the advice you have given so far. Any comments on Acetyl-l-carnitine? Thanks again.

  • 16 admin // Mar 24, 2008 at 8:40 pm

OKG stands for Ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate. Works better than either ornithine or glutamine.

I associate Acetyl-l-carnitine more with non-stimulant fat loss and antioxidant support.

Most important part about the arginine and niacin is the timing.

  • 17 Jason // Mar 24, 2008 at 9:20 pm

I have ordered the secretagogue gold and I will
follow your suggestions and keep you informed of my progress.

  • 18 Mariane // Mar 30, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Thanks for good reviews but gosh it took me time to get to this page. All I was getting were bad reviews.
Maybe you can arrange your topics in a way we can tell what is top in your recommendation and what is bottom.

But thanks for your good work.
For a 52 year old female what would you recommend on top of the secretagogue gold?

  • 19 Johnny // Mar 30, 2008 at 11:09 pm

Is taking MHP Secretagogue Gold any benefit to some one thats not into weight training, just cardio and standard push ups and crunches, I’m 53.
    John

  • 20 admin // Mar 31, 2008 at 6:50 am

I would put my money on there potentially being a greater benefit to you. People doing the right kind of weight training tend to have higher hgh levels anyway.

The people who will get the greatest benefit from using Secretagogue Gold or any of the best hgh stacking products, are those that haven’t been exercising enough, are around 50, and have a bit of the middle aged spread starting.

At 53 and being in decent shape, you should notice better performance and a feeling of greater physical well being in 1 to 4 months.

  • 21 admin // Mar 31, 2008 at 7:16 am

    Mariane,

One problem is that there are so many bad products out there. We have been brainstorming ways to have people find the better reviews faster. We also feel it is important for people to read some of the bad reviews in order to understand the difference.

I think we are going to start with a page that lists all the reviews. Haven’t quite figured out how we want to mark them.

Broad sugestions for women are tough. You have a much more fluid hormone cycle.

The one thing I can definitely recommend is a good antioxidant. Not just the basic Vitamin C.
Something with Alpha Lipoic acid and COQ10.

I am also a firm believer in the greens. Spirulina, chlorella, kamut, etc. Just try to find something that hasn’t been mixed with a whole bunch of herbs.

  • 22 Nate // Mar 31, 2008 at 1:53 pm

Hey i have been reading all sorts of reviews on your site and im thinking this Secretagogue Gold is the best HGH supplement for the cost, but im 19 and mainly focusing on height increase as the main reason for taking HGH. Also i am a competitive basketball player and have great knee pain after games, icing and supplements like glucosamine and MSM have been my main treatment but would HGH help this also?

  • 23 admin // Mar 31, 2008 at 9:01 pm

Secretagogue Gold does top the list of the reviews we have done so far. However, it is pretty much a waste of money for a 19 year old.

Not a bad health thing just nowhere near the impact a 40 year old, who is deficent in growth hormone, will experience.

Costco sells a liquid glucosamine, chondriton and MSM product that is the best I have seen. I know people that have seen great results. I think the manufacturers name is Symtec.

Chlorella might also be helpful. There is a killer liquid version but it is something north of $100 per bottle.

  • 24 Nate // Apr 1, 2008 at 3:08 am

Thanks Admin, but i am having a difficult time finding a non scam website for HGH products, and if secretagogue gold has one could you pass the link, also thanks for the info on liquid glucosamine that sounds perfect!

  • 25 admin // Apr 1, 2008 at 7:05 pm

The manufacturers website does not contain much info. You can buy Secretagogue Gold from any number of reliable on line retailers such as the Vitamin Shoppe or Vitacost. Yahoo also has some highly rated merchants.

  • 26 BEAU GESTE // Apr 5, 2008 at 3:21 am

Very happy to have found this site.

If you build it , the right people will show up.

To get an incredible boost in energy , you should all try “35% food grade hydrogen peroxide.”

The best is sold at Guardian of Eden.

I take 3 to 7 drops a day in a glass of water as a maintenance. I started with one drop per day. You wil notice a big difference within 14 days. of starting. You will need less sleep than before.

You can all read about the benefits of this product in the book “FLOOD YOUR BODY WITH OXYGEN” by Ed Mccabe.

If you are into endurance sports, this is the 1 % advantage you will gain to make you finnish 10th instead of 25th in a 40 mile bike race.

If I try this Secretagogue Gold, it might put me in the top 5 in my next race. Bonne chance.

  • 27 admin // Apr 5, 2008 at 8:40 am

Glad you like the site. It is nice to be able to make someone happy.

We have pissed of quite a few people. But, we didn’t build the site for them.

McCabe’s oxygen concepts have always been intriguing. I’ll let our readers do their own research on the subject.

  • 28 Sander // Apr 11, 2008 at 10:59 pm

I turned 20 on the 10th and like Nate am looking at hgh supplements in order to squeeze out the most I can at the tail end of my growing. The website says that secretagogue gold is for those 35 and older, is it possible I could damage myself or cause negative side effects by taking this? I understand I will not see the marked results an older man will but i want to see if I can stimulate my body to give me that last inch and reach 6′0″. If I were to start taking secretagogue gold would there be any particular guidelines I should follow or other supplements I should take in conjunction given my age? I am interested in hgh supplementation but I am not willing to take it if I could cause any bodily damage later on like cancer or glandular atrophy. At present I have just recently started taking hawthorn extract in order to assist in circulation and Gold Standard whey protein to drink after my workouts. I also drink goji juice in varying amounts daily.

  • 29 hgh truths // Apr 12, 2008 at 8:31 am

    Sander,

Secretagogue Gold clearly says on the top of the package, ” Advanced Age management System”.

The chances of you growing taller taking this hgh supplement are very slim.

The chances of seeing any great workout gains from this hgh releaser are slim.

The chances of any negative side effects from taking this hgh product are equally slim.

We just want to make sure that younger people understand that a lot of the marketing hype about these hgh supplements is just that, HYPE.

That being said, you are an adult. Free to make your own choices. We just want to make sure you do it based on honest information.

A good thing for everyone to add to a vitamin program is a combination of spirulina and chlorella. Avoid those products that have all kinds of extra herbs thrown in.

The short term benefits aren’t that huge but you will be thanking me when you turn 50.

  • 30 Scott // Apr 17, 2008 at 6:58 am

    Admin,
It’s refreshing to come across this site. You are obviously very knowledgeable about the subject.

    I have a few questions:
This product appears to be a leader, you marked it down for non-disclosure of ingredient amounts, which I tend agree with. But to what extent can the varying ratios and amounts determine the effectiveness of these products?

So for example, in your opinion, if there are two products, each with identical ingredients but vastly different amounts, would this effect the level to which the products deliver on the same promise?

And following that, what criteria are you using to rate these products? Is it the extent to which the product adheres to it’s claimed benefits? And if so, how do you measure this? Is it against known clinical trials with the product in question - or just the individual ingredients? Is there an element of anecdotal conclusion involved when issuing your rating?

Again, thank you for this site, I’m sure you’re more than aware of the difficulty one encounters in researching a subject so vulnerable to Internet scams. I imagine you are ruffling quite a few feathers of the deceitful.

I shall be submitting this site to social bookmarking sites.

    Scott.

  • 31 admin // Apr 17, 2008 at 9:16 pm

    Scott,

The ratio can make a big difference. Different amino acids require different dosages and some combinations can interfere with each other. Also a gh stack really needs to have at least one of the amino acids to be at or near the minimum amount required if that amino acid was used alone.

Some of the non amino acids ingredients could also be named on the label but only be present in window dressing amounts.

The rating is based on a combination of having the right ingredients and the value. We are biased toward the effectiveness for anti-aging as opposed to bodybuilding. Basically most products are just on the beginning of the power scale that most hardcore body builders are looking for.

There are so few products that are going to be anywhere near their claimed benefits. Most of them are trying to claim the same benefits as injectable hgh. Actually, it is more accurate to say that the are claiming the benefits of prescription hgh as their own.

I don’t know of a single hgh supplement on the market that has any real, verifiable, clinical trials. There are not even that many real decent studies on the pharmaceuticals.

So we stick mostly to having the right ingredients. When we find products that look good , we also do some personal testing. There is enough experience around here that a week or two on a product is enough to know if it is working or not.

The only anecdotal evidence we use is from our guinea pig group and reports from people we know personally.

Your welcome and all social bookmarking is greatly appreciated.

A little note to any of the deceitful whose feathers are being ruffled. One of our next steps is going to be using the adsense revenue to have some of the products lab tested. So don’t think just slapping up a product with the right ingredients is going to get you very far.

  • 32 Scott // Apr 21, 2008 at 12:29 am

    Thank you Admin,
Great idea with the lab testing. I’ll be visiting your site for updates.
    Scott.

  • 33 Sam // Apr 21, 2008 at 6:34 am

Is there anything wrong with taking this product at 17 years old? Just for the muscle/fat part, not the anti-aging?

  • 34 Scott J // Apr 21, 2008 at 11:58 am

Hi - thanks for all of these reviews.

I haven’t found on your site a review on the “Universal GH Stack” product, so wonder if you have any comments on that.

Also - any comments on the use / effectiveness of these products on endurance athletes - triathletes / runners etc.

    Thanks!

  • 35 admin // Apr 21, 2008 at 2:23 pm

    Scott,

I think the lab testing will be lots of fun.

    Sam,

Nothing wrong with taking it but do not expect big results. You are in the peak zone for natural hgh production and supplements just will not give you a lot of kick. however, the ingredients can’t hurt your overall health.

    Scott J,

We have a draft of a review for Universal GH Stack. We will post it this week. I’ll shoot for tomorrow.

I personally have always been more of a fitness endurance athlete than a weight lifter. my favorite exercise was running barefoot in the sand.

During my early days playing with hgh products, I used to take a strong hgh stack at the beginning of a run and another hgh concoction at the end. there were some amazing 12 mile runs were it felt like I was just floating. My recovery time was almost nothing. Went back out the next day and did it again.

  • 36 Scott J // Apr 21, 2008 at 3:48 pm

Hi - thanks, I’ll look for the review. It has been reccomended to me, as well as another product from somalife called GHP sport, which comes in capsule form. The people reccomending both of these products to me have similiar comments around being able to do their long runs / cycling with a much easier recovery, and improved performance during the workout. This site has been helpful, as most of what I find on the net is advertising, whcih of course is all positive.

  • 37 admin // Apr 21, 2008 at 6:04 pm

We have a draft of a review for GHP Sport also. I will add it to this week’s list. I will give you a three word sneak peak.

    “Significantly over priced.”

  • 38 Mike // Apr 22, 2008 at 5:24 pm

    Hi,

If I were interested in this for strictly looking better/losing weight would this be worth taking? I am 34 years old, 6ft, about 210lbs and run only about 5-10 miles a week for exercise. I would love to get down to about 180 lbs with something like this product. Would you recommend it?

    Thanks!

  • 39 admin // Apr 22, 2008 at 6:08 pm

    It will help.

Up the exercise a notch to say 10-15 miles per week. Maybe add in a little Acetyl-l-carnitine and/or hoodia while managing the eating.

I was a victim of suburban dad syndrome and have trimmed of 20 lbs. this year.

  • 40 Bill // Apr 22, 2008 at 7:46 pm

I’m I meant stacking it w/ secretagogue gold or would that be redundant?

  • 41 Bill // Apr 22, 2008 at 7:50 pm

My main goal is to lose weight and increase lean muscle mass so would i use okg and the secretagogue gold? And if so which brand of okg would you recommend?

  • 42 Bill // Apr 22, 2008 at 8:12 pm

What is Life Renewal’s hgh website ?

  • 43 Kevin // Apr 23, 2008 at 6:20 am

I noticed that alot of the amino acids in this product(and many other hgh products)are the same as the ones in the whey protein powder I take. Can whey protein help with hgh production?

  • 44 admin // Apr 23, 2008 at 6:54 pm

    Bill,

I would recommend taking just the Secretagogue Gold by itself when you first start. See what that does for you and then consider if you want to add anything else.

I would use a brand from any reputable company. I think I have Jarrow and Source Naturals on my shelf at the moment. But there are several other equally good brands.

I believe the website is in the comments section of the Life Renewal Review.

    Kevin,

The amino acids listed on the whey protein package are the ones that combine together to form whey.

While there is some evidence that taking protein after a workout helps slightly raise hgh levels, it is not the same thing as taking the individual free form amino acids on an empty stomach.

  • 45 David // May 1, 2008 at 8:48 pm

Instead of reviewing these hgh products for their benefits, why don’t you tell us the best formula and the amounts of each supplement you believe to increase hgh the most so we can try to purchase them either individually or in combinations to add up to the formula you think is most beneficial! I have personally wasted plenty of money trying some of the products you have already reviewed. If I could make up my own on a daily basis I would like to try. Thanks, David

  • 46 admin // May 2, 2008 at 6:01 am

We figure that the reviews do a large number of people a big service by keeping them from wasting money on some of worthless products.

Eventually we are going to talk in depth about all the different ingredients and ways to combine them.

  • 47 Jeff // May 13, 2008 at 10:48 pm

Thank you for your website. This has been the most truthful and helpful site I have found.

I have looked at the ingredients from various supplements. Many list L-arginine, which I noticed at the top of the ingredient lists (a main ingredient). In Secretagogue Gold it is not listed at all. What does this mean as far as this gh stack? Is the benefits of L-arginine made up with a different amino acid?

You also talk about cycling the product - 5 days taking it, then 2 days off. Is there a difference in overall feeling, amount of energy and other benefits from cycling the product versus taking it every day? Should you also cycle long term with this product, like 5 months taking it, then 1 or 2 months off? Does long term effect wear off or decrease without taking a break from this product?

    Thank you for your help.

  • 48 admin // May 14, 2008 at 8:36 am

There are a number of different ways you can build an hgh stack. Some start with arginine and Secretagogue Gold starts with glycine. Either approach can get you where you want to go.

The problem with many products is that they list a whole bunch of amino acids but there is no way that the product contains enough to do any good. Some products don’t even have the minimum amount of any one amino acid.

Here it is easy to see that the minimum amount of glycine could be used and still have room for the minimum amounts of enough other ingredients for the product to be effective.

Cycling is a longer discussion. I will see that a draft of a post on basic cycling gets a final edit and put on the site this week.

  • 49 Nicolas // May 18, 2008 at 3:30 pm

Hey guys! Im a big fan of your site and have been researching the right HGH formula to take as an athlete. I am looking for a great product that will help me in the weight room and on in competition. I was considering Secretagogue Gold as my choice… a good one? Please help me out guys! Thanks!

  • 50 admin // May 20, 2008 at 5:36 pm

Secrtagogue Gold is as good as any product we have reviewed so far. Somewhere, up above, I believe we discussed ways athletes can kick it up a notch if they want to.

  • 51 Brian // May 25, 2008 at 2:47 am

Hello i dont get it, if these hgh
stimulators work, why then do doctors and
other fine peoble, still say that they
dont work? if there are no real proof,
where is the proof? if there is real proof
it works why then why this problem? also would i at 29 profit from taking it?

  • 52 admin // May 26, 2008 at 1:53 pm

29 is a bit on the early side.

As to doctors and fine people….. Well if everybody agreed about everything, the world would be a boring place.

  • 53 Nicolas // May 26, 2008 at 7:43 pm

1 more questions for the admins. I was looking for more stuff on the athletic benefits of this product but couldnt find any on your site… So here is my question… at 20 is it WORTH spending the money on and will it assist me enough to reach the peak of my game?

  • 54 admin // May 27, 2008 at 4:37 pm

At age 20, these kind of products just are not going to make a big difference. You are still in the peak hormone zone.

A multi-vitamin and a good green drink will probably do more for your health than any sports supplements.

  • 55 Nicolas // May 27, 2008 at 10:24 pm

If they do not assist much, whats all the hype about then regarding the hgh in sports?

  • 56 admin // May 28, 2008 at 7:07 am

  • 58 admin // May 28, 2008 at 5:20 pm

Secretagogue Gold hasn’t been around for 10 years but I remember at least 3 years but it could be longer.

Various kinds of hgh products have been around for over 20 years and I have never heard of any serious comments of negative side effects. However, everyone can react differently to any one product.

I always suggest that people pay attention to the baselines of their health. Things like blood pressure, pulse rate etc. If you see any negative changes for you, stop.

  • 59 susan // May 29, 2008 at 11:17 am

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our experiences. I imagine every one would have different sensitivity level. So would you recommend gradual/slow initial dosage level for those of us who are very sensitive, possibly even skipping few days between two packetes initially? I am 49 and started trying this product as a guinea pig before having my father (over 85) trying it. But the positive effects are so dramatic (greater performance during my workout, sense of well being, and motivation level, etc.) only after two packets/days that I wonder if I should take it slowly.

I am also curious if one needs to increase the dosage level (in order to get comparable effect) after long term use.

Is there any one who had used this product for over a year and then suddenly stopped cold turkey? What happens then?

Will Secretagogue Gold help to increase or decrease the risk of cancer? Perhaps this is an individual dependent question.

Again, thank you for this forum.

  • 60 Curtis // May 29, 2008 at 2:33 pm

I am 31, active, healthy. Just want something for myself and 41 year old fiance, also healthy. I do spirulina in the a.m with Q10. I would like to add something like the Secretagogue at evening before bed. Should I take it alone, or suppliment it? Only looking for anti-aging effects, not muscle building. Thanks for the info!

  • 61 Curtis // May 29, 2008 at 2:51 pm

Can you get this stuff in bulk? Or do you have to get 100 orders of individual 30 pack boxes?

  • 62 admin // May 29, 2008 at 4:49 pm

    Curtis,

I don’t see any need to supplement it with anything extra.

Off hand I don’t know of anyone who sells it in bulk. There might be a few online retailers that give a discount for multiple box orders.

The best bet might be to negotiate with a local supplement retailer.

  • 63 admin // May 29, 2008 at 5:13 pm

    Susan,

Always error on the side of caution. However, some of the effects are not quite as noticeable once you are used to taking the product.

I don’t see a big need to increase the dosage after long term use. Cycling is designed to help the product work better over time.

There is kind of an s-curve effect. The benefit gains will not seem as great further down the road but you are making progress or maintaining at a higher level.

When you stop taking it you will have a bit of a reverse s-curve effect.

We are basically doing this to increase our health and well being until the scientific geniuses come up with something even better. That looks to be 5 to 10 year from now.

Ohhh! The big C thing. We are going to be posting more on this but for now we’ll just give the short version.

If I had cancer, I would not take prescription hgh or hgh supplements. Just to be safe because there is not a medical consensus.

Otherwise, my personal opinion leans toward the camp that says increased hgh levels can help protect against disease. This is for responsibly increased levels not for people who are trying to see how high and fast they can jack up hgh levels.

  • 64 susan // May 30, 2008 at 8:30 pm

My father had been free from lymphoma for over six/seven years. Because of his recent lethargy, lack of interest in doing anything (simply staying in bed most of the time), losing much of his appetite, and eventually not being able to get up from the bathtub (from being so frail), that instigated my attempt in searching for something that might help to put some pep and strength back into his life. After just one packet of the Secretagogue Gold, he is getting up more, started to listen to his favorite operas and exercising again, having better appetite, and even smiling….I think we may have just found a way to buy him few more years on earth….due to your words of caution, perhaps we will reserve the use of this product only when he gets really frail and down.

  • 65 Jessica // Jun 1, 2008 at 6:54 pm

Question on the other end of the spectrum. My 14 year old step-son has been on the borderline of receiving hgh injections several times. Now it looks like it isn’t going to happen. I don’t know the exact numbers, but his hgh levels have been quite low for the last 4 years. He is 4′7″ (with a dad who is 6′4″), commonly gets mistaken for a 10 year old, and struggles with low energy. He plays some sports, and when he works out he clearly feels better. Whether or not it would change his final height, it would be really excellent if stacking for hgh meant he didn’t have such a battle with such low energy.

Would you supplement your kid with something like Secretagogue Gold in this situation?

  • 66 admin // Jun 2, 2008 at 12:11 pm

Using the disclaimer that this is a personal and not a medical opinion,

There is nothing in this product that would be harmful to a 14 year old. So trying a box and seeing how it makes him feel with careful monitoring, should not be a problem.

A good chlorella product might also be a good idea.

  • 67 Jessica // Jun 2, 2008 at 6:40 pm

Thanks. Also, thanks for the great site. I really appreciate the work you’ve put into it. Like the previous writer, I’ll try it out on myself first. I’m 34 and a semi-serious field sports athlete interested in focusing on my power and sprint speed.

  • 68 Steve // Jun 5, 2008 at 1:09 am

I would so love to purchase this product and I have tried ordering through the two websites that you mentioned but neither of them ship to Australia. Can anyone help me with this. Thanks for all the research you have made available, its the best HGH site on the web by far. Cheers.

  • 69 admin // Jun 5, 2008 at 9:01 am

    Jessica,

    That is a good idea.

    Steve,

Australia has some different rules than the USA. It used to be that they did not like products that combined herbs with amino acids. I don’t know what the current rules are. If I run across a firm that ships to Australia I will post it.

Just received my secretagogue gold. Took it last night and swear I felt more energetic today but I am wondering if it is placebo or the effect of this supplement. A few qusetions:
    1. I am a 51 year old female and run 15-20 miles per week. I also do light weights. Is it necessary to do the strength training before bedtime?
Do I need to start cycling in the begining or should I take this continuously to build up levels?
I started taking this due to fatigue and just feeling like age was going to start becoming a factor in my well-being.
    When do optimal results show?

  • 71 admin // Jun 5, 2008 at 7:20 pm

Anything to do with strength training is a personal choice.

You start cycling from the very beginning.

Optimal results show up in 3 to 6 months.

Hi guys. I am 24 years old and with a auto-inmune condition very similar to Lupus. Because of the pain that I have all over my body I haven’t been able to do exercise for over 8 years now ,because of that, my muscles are extremely weak and wasted. I would lke to know if Secretagogue Gold can help me gained some strenght back, to have a better looking body and help me in my overall health. Also it would be very helpful if you can tell me if taking this kind of supplements can increase the probabilty of me getting Diabetes or another kind of disease that a lot of sites claim that you can get by using this kind of products. Thank you for your great help and concern for all the people out there that wants to get a better health.

  • 73 naushPD // Jun 6, 2008 at 1:40 pm

Hi!, I’m so glad to have found this board. Can someone in their mid 20s try hghr? I recently ordered Longevity, If i had seen this page before I would have most definitely ordered secretagogue gold.

I’m a very active person, work out more than 4 times a week, eat very carefully, but sometimes get real lazy and won’t go to the gym for a week and start eating BURGERS. lol. anyway,,,, i’m into my healthy lifestyle at least 9 out of 12 months a year so to speak.

I suffer from eczema and recently my skin (especially face and back) would break out a lot which never ever happened before. I learned it was due to hormonal and stress related issues but I’m trying to take supplements like zinc, vitamin A and C for that. But because of age increase I feel like I need to be very careful with what I eat usually and work out so much in order to maintain a good body. Before this it wasn’t that difficult. I’ve also noticed that my skin healing takes longer for any prob than it would before. Ive realised that just after 25 your body starts showing signs of hgh lowered gradually.

Anyway, cutting a longer story short now :) I want to try longevity, read all about the cycle and all. Also that best time is probably to take before bed. My only concern is, at my age, should I try a different cyccle like 3 days a week? Also, is there going to be any side effects?

Any response and all comments (polite one ;)) welcome. :D

  • 74 admin // Jun 6, 2008 at 3:33 pm

    Isariel,

We really can’t get into providing such specific medical advice but someone else might come along and make some comments.

We would advise that if you try such a product. go slow and monitor yourself carefully.

For people in general, proper use of hgh supplements probably does not increase the risk of diabetes. Most people I talk to actually think that it lessens the long run risk.

    naushPD,

Once again, we can’t get into the specific medical details.

We would give you the same advice of going slow and monitoring yourself carefully. I would say take it for one day and then wait two days. Up it one extra day at a time and take two day breaks. If you notice any worsening of your eczema, stop immediately.

Most of these products are not going to do a whole lot for people in their 20’s. Individual results will vary.

A personal opinion side note: I know of people with both of these conditions who have reported positive results from taking chlorella and spirulina. Same slow and careful advice would apply.

Oh, we moderate out most of the impolite comments.

  • 75 naushPD // Jun 7, 2008 at 12:46 am

    Thanks you :)

just a couple more questions from the admin.

which one would you rate a better hgh supplement?

Secretagogue Gold or Life Renewal HGH?

also, could you please direct to some online store where i could purchase some at a good price.

    thanks :)

  • 76 admin // Jun 7, 2008 at 11:09 am

Life Renewal HGH still seems to be out of stock.

I don’t know of any specific UK companies that sell Secretagogue Gold. You might want to contact MHP and see if they have a distributor list.

  • 77 Chris // Jun 8, 2008 at 11:39 am

    Hey Admin,

I’m at 25 year old male who goes to the gym 3-4 times a week religiously and am in pretty good shape but wants to gain 15-20 pounds of muscle, and maybe lose a little fat at the same time. Will Secretagogue gold or Secretagogue One or Life Renewal HGH or even GH Stack help me in anyway to acheive my goal? Would stacking either OKG on top of Secretgogue gold or any other product, or using a combination of arginine and niacin in a 5 to 1 ratio 30 minutes before a workout on an empty stomach work to achieve this muscle growth and fat loss that I desire? Keeping in mind I’m only 25? Is there anything a 25 year old can do?

ps: you guys are doing a great service to the general public and I commend you. Using your site has actually helped me dodge a 400 dollar GHR 1000 bullet earlyier today.

pps: at 25, are there any products on the market that can help me achieve my goals, and if so what are they?

Thank you Admin, your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated, and hey if you ever are in need of a lab-tech to for concentration analysis using HPLC instrumentation for your upcomming studies give me a shout (I’m certified).

    Highest regards,

    Chris Bourdages

  • 78 hgh truths // Jun 8, 2008 at 4:07 pm

First off, glad we helped you dodge a $400 bullet. One of our main goals is to help as many people as possible not waste money on bogus products.

Despite what the sports nutrition folks want to tell you, there really are no miracle muscle building products.

At 25 you can try all of the different things you mentioned. They will not hurt but the beneficial results will probably be minor. Using extra aminos will help the kick but how much it does for you depends on where your personal hormone levels are.

  • 79 chris // Jun 8, 2008 at 7:36 pm

    Hey Admin,

you couldn’t recomend any products or stacks that would produce major beneficial results for a 25 year old looking male who is looking to build lean muscle and loose weight could you? also, just to be clear, a 25 year old male (like myself) shouldnt waste money on hgh products because they wouldnt do anything correct?

    thanks,
    again you guys rock

  • 80 naushPD // Jun 9, 2008 at 12:30 am

    Hello again,

I was just trying to find some online store with the best price, I read in the review above where you have mentioned that this product maybe found for $44.00…. I can’t seem to find it anywhere for less than 54/55 :(

Could you PLEASE advise what online store is offering that price?

    Thank you in advance.

Also, all your advise is greatly appreciated :)

  • 81 admin // Jun 9, 2008 at 8:04 pm

    Chris,

Really nothing that is going to give the big kind of results. The products are not a total waste of money but a 25 year old can’t get the same percentage increase in results that a 40 or 50 year old would see.

There would still be some results for a 25 year old but a good protein powder combined with a more effective mix of workouts would probably do better.

You will probably also end up being a much healthier 40 year old than the norm. Just a question if you are ready to do it on the long term investment plan. most 25 year olds aren’t.

    naushPD,

The best price we currently know about is on Amazon. A friend just recently paid $40.19 direct from Amazon. Wonder if they read our reviews?

We should probably be ambitious and put our Amazon associate link in here. I don’t think there is anything sleazy about getting 4% from something people are going to buy anyway. Do you?

  • 82 Eric // Jun 11, 2008 at 4:35 am

    Hi,

Im a 33 yo male who just began taking this product a week ago. I seem to be feeling the benefits almost immediately. Is this all in my head or do physiological changes happen within the first week? Also, I recommended this product to my 63 yo mother, who is in excellent health. Should she see as many benefits as a 40-50 yo? Thanks in advance for your reply.

  • 83 admin // Jun 11, 2008 at 8:39 am

    Eric,

Some of the initial effects are in your head, physiologically. Generally speaking it is usually a calm sort of energy.

When you first start taking a product you do notice some effects the first week. The second stage is that you get used to these “surface” effects and it might seem like nothing is happening. The third stage is when you start to notice the deeper more long lasting effects.

Your mother would probably see greater effects than 40-50 year olds because she would be starting from a lower hormone level.

The best thing to do is to contact the company, Maximum Human Performance ( MHP ), directly and ask if they have a European distributor.

  • 86 Blair // Jun 13, 2008 at 8:33 pm

Admin…I have been doing some research on supplements that can help me trim up and build lean muscle. I want to get your thoughts on a stack that I just started trying after doing some searching. L-Carnitine (1g three times a day), Green Tea extract (500mg three times a day), Caffeine (200 mg twice daily), Forskolin (30 mg twice daily), Creatine (5g before and after workout), Fish Oil (2g twice daily), and 2 scoops of Optimum Nutrition whey protein (twice daily). I figured that taking the ingredients in these amounts would be more beneficial than taking a pill that has a combination of these ingredients in smaller amounts. Am I on the right track?

  • 87 Cathy // Jun 15, 2008 at 3:59 am

Wanted to thank you so much for your site. It is a new favorite of mine and I find I am back here almost daily to read new posts.
Started taking secretagauge gold two weeks ago and I am feeling a sense of well -being and energy. My sleep, always a real problem is so much better.
Is there anything else you would generally recommend for a 51 year old woman who eats well, exercises and is on no medication?

  • 88 admin // Jun 16, 2008 at 8:27 pm

    Blair,

I am currently enjoying getting my resveratrol the french way, from a nice bottle of Medoc. Not quite in the mood to be able to wrap myself around diet stuff but I’ll give it a quick shot.

L-carnitine is good stuff. Subtle but helpful….. I like my green tea by the cup not as a extract…. I prefer my caffeine to be as espresso…Never been hugely convinced about large amounts of creatine for lean muscle……Fish oil is good stuff….I enjoy protein powders that have multiple sources of protein that digest over different times. They seem to be more energizing and good appetite suppressants.

  • 89 admin // Jun 16, 2008 at 8:29 pm

    Cathy,

The best results are actually still two to five months away.

Chlorella and spirulina are always really good bets and a good full spectrum anti-oxidant never hurts.

  • 90 James // Jun 18, 2008 at 12:04 pm

This site is very helpful in my research about HGH. One question, I am a 25 year old football player and I currently run the 40yd dash in 4.5 seconds and thought that HGH would help me run faster and get me down to a 4.3. Would this product help my speed or would any HGH product help me run faster?

  • 91 admin // Jun 18, 2008 at 2:19 pm

I seriously doubt that any hgh product is going to help you run faster.

I will return my box of secretagogue gold when i receive it

  • 93 admin // Jun 30, 2008 at 10:41 am

It is very easy to recommend because we are talking about vitamin supplements.

You are talking about the side effects of the over use of injectable hgh. The side effects of human growth hormone abuse experienced by some bodybuilders.

We are concerned with the much subtler benefits derived from dietary supplements.

Even when we talk about using prescription hgh, we are talking about the responsible use in small dosages by informed and educated adults.

Guess we are now forced to finish the side effects posts.

  • 94 Kevin // Jun 30, 2008 at 8:17 pm

Has anyone ever taken a before and after blood test to see how much,if any HGH is produced by the body by using this(or any other hgh releaser) product?

Thank you for the fast commentary about the side effect

  • 96 admin // Jul 1, 2008 at 3:12 pm

    Thank you,

  • 99 admin // Jul 5, 2008 at 4:12 pm

    Carol,

I think it could. I know of people with low thyroid who have taken hgh supplements and are happy with the results.

Since you are taking medication, start slow and monitor yourself well. If you have an open minded doctor, talk to them first.

  • 100 Matt // Jul 5, 2008 at 5:19 pm

I have been doing a lot of research on the hgh products and have been mostly been looking for height increase and muscle increase. The main thing I want is height and some of the hyped products say it can happen. Obviously I am skeptical and after reading all of the posts on this site I really doubt it. Im 18 and I figure I could just order the ghr1000 or genf20 and then return it before my 60 free trial is up. Do you think I should even waste my time? Is there some other product out there that would help me add some inches before my growing is over? thanks

  • 101 hgh truths // Jul 5, 2008 at 9:09 pm

It would be a total waste of time and money. There is NO PRODUCT that will help you grow taller.

  • 102 admin // Jul 5, 2008 at 9:16 pm

    Matt,

I should take this a step further. Growth hormone deficent children probably only see an increase in height of around 3 inches after long term treatment with prescription growth hormone.

  • 103 Dan // Jul 6, 2008 at 2:34 pm

If hgh doesn’t do anything for athletes, then why is it illigal?

  • 104 admin // Jul 6, 2008 at 3:55 pm

    Hgh isn’t illegal.

Distribution of pharmaceutical human growth hormone to people who do not have a prescription is illegal.

The dietary supplements such as Secretagogue Gold are just that, dietary supplements.

  • 105 Dan // Jul 6, 2008 at 5:17 pm

Oh my fault, what I should have said was banned. If it doesn’t really give a competitive edge, howcome sports test for it, and crack down on those who test positive on it?

if i could please some more questions,
does this secreta gold thing have amino acid complex, and would that be also good to supplament it? i heard that all amino-acids are in meat, i eat a lot of meat and normally healthy food, do i need amino acids?
also do you think this thing would help me: “Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex APS Rocky Road” .
    many thanks again.

  • 108 hgh truths // Jul 8, 2008 at 8:27 pm

    Dan,

Pharmaceutical HGH is banned because it is alleged to be a performance enhancer. In jectable hgh might not do much for a 22 year old rookie ball player but it could be of assistance in prolonging the career of a 35 year old.

When we are talking about hgh not being of much use for athletes, we are primarily talking about nutritional supplement hgh releasers not being of much use to young athletes. Releasers just do not do much for people who are not hormone deficient.

  • 109 hgh truths // Jul 8, 2008 at 8:30 pm

    Max,

At 31 it might be of some assistance.

Amino acids are the building blocks of all proteins. The supplements we are talking about here are different than the food that you digest.

The product you are talking about is a protein supplement. Protein is always helpful if you are trying to build muscle. We do not review protein supplements.

  • 110 Sammy // Jul 16, 2008 at 1:18 pm

have you reviewed Promino plus yet? seems similar to Secretagogue Gold.

  • 111 hgh truths // Jul 18, 2008 at 12:02 pm

Promino Plus is inferior to Secretagogue Gold and has one of the worst supplement facts labels in the industry. There is a review coming soon.

  • 112 Jeff // Jul 18, 2008 at 8:35 pm

Wow, this has been quite a find and quite a read. So based upon your reviews it sounds like you’re saying that 1/4 serving of Life Renewal combined with Secretagogue Gold would make a close to perfect supplement (an “A” by your standard)? Did I understand correctly?

Secondly, is there any risk of conflicting ingredients or over-dosing if I’m currently taking a multi-tablet packet supplement such as GNC’s “Men’s Energy Vitapak”?

And lastly, I’ve heard that it is a good idea to take a good broad-spectrum antioxidant supplement when using products such as these. Do you concur and do you have a product that you would recommend?

Thank you so much for this valuable website, information, and all of your time to keep it going.

  • 113 hgh truths // Jul 18, 2008 at 9:23 pm

    Jeff,

You understand correctly. That extra push of more amino acids lifts it over the top.

I do suggest that you try Secretagogue Gold by itself first. That is enough for most people. Maybe test the boost in the second or third stage of the cycle.

The energy pack is one of those everything but powdered kitchen sink extract products. However nothing is in real large quantities. Probably nothing would conflict but take each separately and then start mixing so that you have a baseline experience as a basis for your own judgement.

Huge fan of antioxidants. I spread my antioxidants around. It is fresh berry season so I am getting most of them the old fashioned way. Piled on ice cream.

The most frequent supplement I consume is alpha lipoic acid which boosts up the whole antioxidant chain reaction.

  • 114 Jeff // Jul 18, 2008 at 9:47 pm

    HGH Truths,

Thank you for such a quick response and for the useful advice. I promise these to be my last few questions as I value your time and opinion.

Might you be willing to recommend a good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement that is more “focused” in providing the essential nutrients and that would be a good companion to Secretagogue Gold?

Also, are you familiar with “Uber Greens” from Heartland Products and what is your opinion of it as a “green-food” supplement.

  • 115 hgh truths // Jul 19, 2008 at 8:08 am

    Jeff,

I eat a pretty good diet so have not been worried about multi-vitamins. A trade show vendor gave me a few bottles of Source Naturals Mega One. Seems to be OK but anything that is not overloaded with all kinds of herbs and things is OK. Stick to something that is more straight vitamins and minerals.

We are huge believers in green food supplements. “Uber Greens” looks to be a decent product. Once again avoid the green products that stick in piles of extra herbs.

Before somebody gets the idea that we are opposed to herbs we better expand the subject.

  • 118 hgh truths // Jul 23, 2008 at 7:40 pm

    Sylvain,

You are stimulating things in your body. Both hgh release and an increase in dopamine levels.

Most people report better sleep but some people have more active dreaming. Everybody is different. If you are not experiencing any serious negative effects then just flow along for a while and see how it goes.

There might be a chance that this is not the right product for you. A small percentage of people do not respond well to dopamine increase.

If things do not settle down by the end of the box then try something different next time.

  • 123 kami // Jul 31, 2008 at 7:32 am

First off, thanks for the great site.

I’m curious about the stak I am taking. In the morning I take Animal Cuts and Animal Pak. At night I takesecretagogue Gold. How do these stak up on paper? My body acting normal with increased energy of course. I just don’t want to harm something internally. Thanks for all your help.

  • 124 Nancy // Aug 2, 2008 at 8:19 am

I am taking Secreatagogue Gold. Is there a reason it is advised to take at night versus taking on an empty stomach first thing in the morning? Also, If I split the dose and take half in the morn and half at night, would that be less effficient?

I am still trying to get Life Renewal HGH r by Reunion Health but they are always out of stock and I can’t find another source to purchase from.

  • 125 hgh truths // Aug 2, 2008 at 11:30 am

    Kami,

I just looked quickly at both Animal Cuts and Animal Pak. So this is just a first impression opinion.

Animal Cuts - At least they semi-disclose the ingredients. This is just another diet pill with a lot of extra stuff added on. Of course you would be feeling more energy because this is just basically low grade speed. It appears that a number of the extra ingredients are just there in label dressing amounts.

I am not a huge fan of diet pills. I also don’t think that this is a great product for cycling 3 weeks on and one week of as they suggest. Since I don’t know your goal in taking Animal Cuts, it is hard to say more. Plus the whole discussion about diet pills and how to take them properly could fill several blog posts.

Animal Pak - A lot of the comments about Animal cuts also apply here. There are some good ingredients combined with some window dressing. The case of an over designed sports supplement.

There are a few ingredients in Animal Pak that lead me to say that this is NOT a good product to take daily.

If one of my friends from Muscle Beach asked me about these products, I would probably tell them that these two Sports Supplements have good potential as a week before competition aids. Then I would want a report on the effects they experienced.

  • 126 hgh truths // Aug 2, 2008 at 11:48 am

    Nancy,

Taking an hgh supplement on an empty stomach right at bedtime is the best. This is because it stimulates an increased hgh release during the sleep cycle which is when the most hgh release natural occurs. Your body is also in a better state to make full systemic use of the hgh that is released.

Second best would be on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Don’t eat or drink anything other than water for the next 30 minutes.

A split dosage is not as good as either of the other two choices. I only suggest this to people who are extremely sensitive to the effects of a full dose.

A month ago the Life Renewal people said that they would have product in a couple of weeks. I will attempt to check with them.

Also, don’t worry about taking extra amino acids until you get through at least the first month with Secretagogue Gold. You might find that does the job all by itself. More is not always better.

  • 127 kurdt // Aug 3, 2008 at 9:51 pm

This is a fantastic, informative site. Thanks for all the hard work.

Question: You mentioned you take alpha lipoic acid. I’ve heard nothing but positive things about taking a supplement. How much do you take daily and is a product you would recommend.

    Thanks,
    Kurdt

  • 128 hgh truths // Aug 4, 2008 at 7:07 pm

    Always happy to help.

Both bottles of alpha lipoic acid I have contain dosages of 100 mg.

There is already some in Secretagogue Gold but we do not know the exact amount.

I am a 48 yr old female and taking truwell hgh gold and it is giving me energy and I feel life in myself again. I also am taking DHEA, Pregnonlone, B5, magnesium, Sylmarian, and vitamin E for adrenal fatigue. I also take a supplement that has Alpha lipoic and acetyl-l-carnitine w/biotin for healthy cell function. Am I way overdoing it? Is the dhea and pregnonlone doing the same as what the hgh would do? Thanks

  • 132 c.j. // Aug 11, 2008 at 2:15 pm

Wondering about a product called Chrysalis. It has been getting stellar reviews both from those taking the supplement and from various talk show hosts. What do you think?

  • 133 hgh truths // Aug 11, 2008 at 6:20 pm

    Renne’,

Dhea and pregnenolone are not the same as hgh and do not do the exact same thing. Both dhea and pregnenolone are adrenal hormones that are further down the hormone cascade than hgh. Theoretically, hgh stimulates an increase in both these hormones if that is what the body needs.

Taking too much dhea and pregnenolone can actually increase adrenal fatigue. So watch your dosage and do frequent cycling.

Truwell hgh would merely rate as an OK product. Secretagogue Gold is at least twice as good.

  • 134 hgh truths // Aug 11, 2008 at 6:29 pm

    c.j.,

I think it is crap. The company that markets it is not even willing to list the ingredients or show the label on its product page.

Enough people have asked about it that I think we will whip of a review.

  • 135 Steve // Aug 11, 2008 at 9:37 pm

  • 136 hgh truths // Aug 11, 2008 at 10:09 pm

    Steve,

Velvet antler is just that, the velvet scrapped off a deers antlers. Huh?

It gets a lot of promotin but there is no solid research on whether or not it really does anything.

So is Secretagogue Gold a good thing for my goal, or is it a waste of money?

  • 138 hgh truths // Aug 12, 2008 at 8:14 pm

    Steve,

At 32, you are at the beginning stage of when these products work. Everybody is a little bit different. My best advice is buy one box and try it. Find out for yourself if it helps you or not.

At the very least it should give you at least your money’s worth in health benefits.

There is no supplement in this solar system that is going to help a 24 year old grow even 1 millimeter taller.

You could spend $50,000 on pharmaceutical injectable hgh and not have any results.

The absolutely best time to take it is just before bedtime on an empty stomach. That is not having eaten anything for two hours.

After a workout is just an OK time.

  • 149 Steve // Aug 21, 2008 at 3:21 pm

  • 150 Javier // Aug 22, 2008 at 8:04 am

First off, thanks for all the useful information. I too was going to waste money on a “hgh spray” until I found your website.

Im 25 years old. Hit the gym 4-5 times a week. I do a lot of cardio and I’m planning to add some weight training. I am just trying to get lean.
Would it be a horrible idea for me to buy Secretagogue Gold? I know it won’t have a big effect as I am 25 years old, but even if it is for the placebo effect I am thinking of trying it.
It’s not expensive and I just want to try it out.
I just want to feel like I like I have some sort of edge for my weight loss goal.
    Thanks

I am 59 yrs. old; post menopausal, with symptoms even though I am taking OTC Progesterone Cream and Phytoestrogen Creme, which seem to help me mentally, but not with hot flashes. Tests showed my Estrogen levels and Testosterone levels almost nil! My question is: I take Calcium/ Magnesium drink (A-B CALM) at night along with Psyllium Husks. Will that interfere with the Secretagogue Gold to take that at night as well? Also, will this HGH product also help increase my Estrogen & Testosterone levels? Thanks for the website! Karen

  • 153 Karendw // Aug 22, 2008 at 2:43 pm

So many comments at once on the same post. I’ll try to reply quickly to each in between platform dives. So far nobody at this Olympics has been busted for hgh use. Be interesting to see if it stays that way after the secondary post Olympic Games testing.

  • 155 hgh truths // Aug 22, 2008 at 10:16 pm

    Steve,

Read Javier’s post. If you want to give it a try you need to have realistic expectations. The emphasis should be on the word slightly.

  • 156 hgh truths // Aug 22, 2008 at 10:23 pm

    Javier,

It is not a horrible idea. You will get more than a placebo effect. You just need to keep those expectations realitic.

  • 157 hgh truths // Aug 22, 2008 at 10:26 pm

    A.ray,

I have never tried to use it as a recovery drink. I am more of a water and protein person.

It would probably be OK .

  • 158 hgh truths // Aug 22, 2008 at 10:40 pm

    Karen,

I will start with the easier parts.

    Your welcome.

Genf20 is over priced and under powered.

The combination part is a good question. I would try taking the Secretagogue Gold 15 minutes to 30 minutes before the other. See how that works.

Then try taking both at the same time and see if you notice a difference.

Pick the method that works best for you.

Picture a beautiful multi stage waterfall. Hgh would start in the top of the cascade. As it comes down each level it is converted into other hormones and substances in the body. The body tends to use the extra hgh pulse to create what it most needs.

Estrogen and testosterone are down near the bottom of the cascade. Theoretically there should be a boost. Many people experience this and test for it. However, there are no individual guarantees because everybody is different.

Dhea can sometimes be a more direct help.

Hopefully we answered your question in away that can’t be construed to be giving any kind of medical advice.

  • 162 hgh truths // Sep 3, 2008 at 10:20 am

    Mark,

We can’t really legally sat much when pharmaceutical drugs are involved. I doubt Secretagogue Gold has been tested for drug interactions.

This is where we are supposed to say check with your doctor even though most doctors don’t know the answer. They just normally say no to cover their own butts. I would say the same thing if I had all those malpractice sharks circling around trying to drive up my premiums.

The best advice that I can offer is to start with partial dosages and carefully monitor how you are feeling.

  • 163 hgh truths // Sep 3, 2008 at 10:22 am

    John,

The best thing you can do is work hard and find a good protein supplement.

While not harmful, hgh supplements are mostly a waste of money for a 19 year old.

Also, what do you think about DHEA? My boyfriend takes 50 mg. daily. I’ve read some bad things about it, and that you should definitely not take it every day, but cycle. He’s been taking it for years and will not stop. Very stubborn. Do you think Secretagogue would do the same thing.

I train carefully and diet well but was wondering if this whole aging process could be wearing me down and one of these products could help? Im just after a neutral opinion!

    Many thanks

  • 176 hgh truths // Oct 1, 2008 at 6:06 pm

    Chris,

The groggy feeling could becoming from the increase in dopamine. Some people have that initial reaction. Usually your body adjusts itself as it gets used to the increase.

  • 177 hgh truths // Oct 1, 2008 at 6:14 pm

    Phil,

It is not going to hurt. Just be aware that it will not give you anywhere near the same percentage level of benefits as a 46 year old would get.

A green super foods product that is not loaded with a bunch of extra herbal ingredients might help. Something heavy on spirulina, chlorella, kamut or barley grass.

There are lots of posts about athletic type endevores. Thats all very well and good. I’v been a semi-pro athlete for most of my life. This means I’m in good shape and do it for fun (now, at my age, anyway). I wouldn’t cry if i lost the extra 10lbs around the middle or if I got alittle stronger, faster and had more energy. However that isn’t my interest. There are so many wild claims out there who knows what to believe. You folks seem reliable and honest though.

So how does this product, or any HGH for that matter, affect hair loss, hair regrowth, wrinkles, skin tightness, exc. You know all those shallow non-health vanity related things.

I am considering on getting Secretagogue Gold product. My deal is that I need to lose some weight, and build lean muscle “faster” :) I am 32, 6′4″, about 215 lbs.

Would Secretagogue Gold be the good product for my purpose?

    Thank you!

  • 191 Eddie // Oct 21, 2008 at 3:23 pm

Oh…I forgot to mentioned that I am in the gym 5x a week. 3x a week lifting, 2x a week fat burn/cardio. This is all as September.

  • 192 hgh truths // Oct 22, 2008 at 8:32 pm

    Eddy,

Any basic multi-vitamin will do the trick. You don’t need an over hype version.

The protein from the eggs will completely destroy the absorbtion of the Secrtagogue.

You cold try taking the Secretagogue 30 minutes before the eggs.

  • 193 hgh truths // Oct 22, 2008 at 8:36 pm

    Chris,

It does help with those “vanity” things. The exact results vary from person to person.

I have seen people with gray hair have it grow in with full color. But I have also seen people with gray hair have it stay gray.

The body seems to use the hormone increase for what it feels is best for the individual.

  • 194 hgh truths // Oct 22, 2008 at 8:38 pm

I try all sorts of different products and seem to keep coming back to Secretagogue Gold for personal use.

  • 195 Dawn // Oct 23, 2008 at 4:02 am

What do you think of Secretagogue Gold Advanced Age Management System? I just wonder if it would be something good for my 70-year old mother. It’s probably the same as the regular product, but with extra vitamins…and extra $$$…no doubt.
Too bad SG is not in pill form…much easier to take while stationed in a big sand box.
Amazon does have a sale at $45 a box. I’m trying to see if there is a bargain offeredto buy a year’s worth. Anyone out there know???

  • 196 chris // Oct 23, 2008 at 6:20 am

Thanx! My first order should be arriving soon. Thankfully I’m not aging too badely so I’m realy hoping it stops things from getting worse. I realy think that regular excersise plays a big part in physicly staying young, but it seems to me that adding an “inside-out” rutine would be a good idea so I’m realy hoping the “hype” is true.

On a different note I think you have a great sight here. I would like to suggest some links to other sights that take as honest and forthright aproch to similar things. Such as hair loss, skin care, and *cough* down stairs. Those are just a few areas I’m sure most of your readers are strugeling to find unbiast sorces of info. Just a thought, keep up the good work.

  • 197 Eddie // Oct 23, 2008 at 9:15 am

One more “news”. I just started taking Whey Protein & Creatine on daily basis. Is that safe with Secretagogue Gold product? Thanks…hopefully you’ll bet my three posts together :)

  • 198 Eddie // Oct 23, 2008 at 1:26 pm

Ah…one more addition. I also included Lipo-6 as a fat loss product on top of Whey Protein and Creatine. Hope Secretagogue Gold will work with it the three. Thanks again!

  • 199 hgh truths // Oct 23, 2008 at 6:23 pm

    Tufan,

I don’t know. I would think that rushes are more likely to be an initial reaction.

After two months, the question would be does he generally feel better? Are the rushes an unpleasant experience or feel threatening?

You might want to have him cycle off the product and see what happens when he starts up again.

  • 200 hgh truths // Oct 23, 2008 at 6:27 pm

    Eddie,

You are at the age where Secretagogue Gold can start to help. Just realize that it will not be as impactful as for someone who is 42 or 52.

Secretagogue should not interfere with the other three products as long as you are not taking them all at the same time. The whey protein would inhibit the uptake of the amino acids.

  • 201 hgh truths // Oct 23, 2008 at 6:31 pm

    Dawn,

Secretagogue Gold Advanced Age Management System is the long fancy form of the Secretagogue Gold name as printed on the box. It is the same product.

This would be an OK product for your 70 year old mother to try.

I don’t know of anybody that has a special year supply deal.

  • 202 chris // Oct 24, 2008 at 5:06 am

Eddie 215 at 6′4″ doesnt sound that bad. I don’t know what your body composition is but try not to be overly critical of your body. I know what a slippery slope that can become. I don’t know what kind of lifting rutine your on. One thing for me is that once I hit my early 30s I had to change my lifting rutine. I’m not entirely shure why but for some reason my body stopped responding as well to a “bulking” rutine, BUT when I started putting on size when I switched to a “tonning” one. Crazy but true. Also give yourself a day off every week. You will see better results this way. The 30+ body just doesnt work like a 20 year old one.

  • 203 Eddie // Oct 24, 2008 at 10:24 am

The thing is that I will be taking all three products at the same time; which is daily. Secretagogue Gold, Whey Protein and Creatine. Would you still recommend it?

  • 204 hgh truths // Oct 27, 2008 at 4:54 pm

You can take all three on the same day. You just need to take the Secretagogue gold on an empty stomach. plus you should only take the Secretagogue Gold 5 days per week.

I am 42 and going through premenopose with typical Symptoms like unexplained weight gain, headaches, mood swings, irregular periods…. I started taking Secretagogue Gold at the beginning of August. After 3 weeks I had much more energy, my skin was smoother and my hair dresser was asking what special hair treatment I was using because my hairs were soft and more bright.
    My headaches are now gone.
Regarding my premenopause symptoms, my doctor is suggesting me to do an hormonal treatment and take natural progesterone supplementation.

Should I stop taking Secreatgogue Gold if I take natural progesterone supplementation?

  • 208 mike // Oct 29, 2008 at 11:36 am

I’ve learned a lot from this website - good job!

I’m a 38 yr old male who does moderate weight training ~4 times a week. I started taking Gold a week ago. I take it in the mornings, because I sometimes eat late in the evening and wouldn’t have an empty stomach before going to bed. The first few days, it seemed to put me in a little bit of a pissy mood. That’s calmed down, and I think I’m adjusting to whatever it was. About an hour after taking it, I get real sleepy for about 20 minutes, and then I’m fine. Other than that, I hope to start noticing the benefits soon.

Would it be a waste to double the dose each morning?

Also, there’s a new product out called Cryotest. Do you have any info or opinions about this product?

    TIA…

  • 209 Bruce // Oct 30, 2008 at 1:37 pm

Hi, I am 27 yrs old and was wondering if the secretagogue gold would be o.k to take with a test. booster (t-bomb 2), I am seriously into training… weightlifting. The problem is i made the mistake of taking deca durabolin at the age of 22yrs old and did not take any postcycle therapy. I feel that my test levels have decreased as well as my sex drive. Do you think this hgh product will help or the combination of the two?… or is it a waste

  • 210 hgh truths // Nov 1, 2008 at 4:34 pm

    Mega,

Actually the levels of a 20 year old are a little high. The best level to try and maintain through life is closer to that of a 30 year old.

See how you do for a month or more before doubling up. It frequently is not necessary to take more.

At first glance, Cryotest looks underwhelming.

  • 221 Olga // Nov 16, 2008 at 9:52 am

    Hi there,
Thanks for putting together this website. After reading some of the postings I am beginning to wonder if it would not be just simpler and more convenient to take any amino (say arginine) in enough dosage (at least 3 gr) before going to bed and just forget about all the HGH releaser products which are not only expensive but also 99% of the time a scam. I know because I purchased 3 bottles of GHR1000 before I ever found your website…

Thinking about this I have come across a website where there is some useful information about arginine formulation (do’s and dont’s) and quite a bit of talk about the incompatibility between l-lysine and l-arginine and how “L-arginine taken orally without necessary co-factors promotes herpes simplex viral growth”. Having had the Epstein-Barr virus this is definitely a no-go for me. Is there another amino that you would recommend to use as a straight-forward releaser and performance booster in work-outs? And how much would be necessary to see any effects?

    Thanks!

Hi.1. I would like to know if for instance I were to take this Secretagogue Gold for about 6-12 months(of course cycling 5 days on ,2 days off as mentioned) ,and then coming off the SG product would my growth hormone levels decrease to even lower than before I started taking the supplements or what?2. And also are these substances in this product really all natural that help in releasing more of the body’s own natural growth hormone?3. Or is there any synthetic components of HGH in these supplements? Thank you.

Hi so is there any chance at all that negative effects that sometimes happen with injectables will possibly happen with these supplements…like growth of organs and hands, feet, etc , or is everything perfectly safe with these products? And upon stopping taking these products will the body’s human growth hormone level decrease below what it was at before taking the supplements or what? Thank you.

  • 235 Rider // Dec 2, 2008 at 3:47 pm

I’m 23 and since only 3 year ago I was 20 I presume that I’m obviously still too young to take HGH products and see any significant gains. Question 1 is what is the earliest you suggest taking HGH supplements? 2 what supplements would you suggest for a young guy that is looking to gain 20 lbs in muscle weight?

  • 236 hgh truths // Dec 2, 2008 at 8:56 pm

    Laurent,

Go right ahead. I am a firm believer in alpha lipoic acid and CoQ10.

  • 237 hgh truths // Dec 2, 2008 at 9:06 pm

    Angelo,

    1. When you stop taking a product such as SG your levels will eventually start to return to their original levels.

    2. The products we are recommending are combinations of vitamins, herbs and amino acids.

    3. Technically, all vitamins, herbal extracts and amino acids are synthetic. It is not like you are eating broccoli. There are no synthetic components of hgh or weird chemicals if that is what you mean.

I wouldn’t take them if I didn’t think they were safe.

  • 238 hgh truths // Dec 2, 2008 at 9:10 pm

    Phil,

Reputable companies source there pituitary ingredients from suppliers who carefully test and source the pituitary so the risk is minimal.

  • 239 hgh truths // Dec 2, 2008 at 9:13 pm

    ja,

We have no financial interest in any company that makes hgh supplements and don’t work for any. We do know people who work for such companies or have done consulting work for such companies but that has no influence on the information we are providing.

  • 240 hgh truths // Dec 2, 2008 at 9:17 pm

    Angelo,

The side effects from injectables only come from the taking of to large a dose. This is generally an individual decision to abuse ones self. You would have to take an awful lot of supplements to cause any damage to your body.

  • 241 hgh truths // Dec 2, 2008 at 9:20 pm

    Rider,

    1. The starting point would be between 30 and 35 years of age .

    2. Protein supplementation, hard work and patience. Interestingly, it can be easier to put on muscle mass after youthful hormone levells drop.

  • 242 angelo // Dec 3, 2008 at 2:42 pm

Thank you for the prompt responses as when I research something , I need to know everything about it before I make a decision. I really appreciate your help. So just to clarify one thing , all those cases of people getting those major side effects(organs growing, feet, hands) that you hear about are due not only to the fact that injectables of GH were used but also were taken too much or abused? Thank you.

  • 247 Ashley // Dec 11, 2008 at 12:51 pm

First let me thank you for this informative site!!! Since you are knowledgeable about vitamins and herbs I looked through the questions and no one has asked anything about Insulin Resistance (aka Pre-Diabetes) and using HGH supplements for fat loss with using vitamins to stabilize blood sugar I wanted to know if you could help with my vitamin protocol and adding Secretagogue Gold. I apologize as this is a complex question so it is long but other people may get a lot of use from your answer as Insulin Resistance is becoming a huge problem.

I am 34 year old female that was a competitive athlete with low body fat in my youth and maintained a healthy body weight without diet and exercise for most of my life until after a very stressful year I gained almost 30 pounds in three weeks and my body fat skyrocketed to a whopping 44% - three years later after many tests to rule out Thyroid disorders, Pituitary Disorders, cancer etc and thousands of dollars in medical bills they finally said that my borderline high cortisol levels (no tumor present) and inability to lose weight on a strict 1200 calorie a day diet with 6 hours a week of cardio was due to PCOS with Insulin Resistance brought about by severe stress.

I am now 5 feet tall and weigh over 165 pounds even with a strict diet and exercise regime I can not lose weight only maintain my current weight if I stop exercising I gain weight within a week. I tried to take Metaformin with awful results - so for the past 8 weeks after doing a lot of research I am controlling my blood sugar levels with supplements and it has stabilized my blood sugar better than the awful prescription medicine. My doctor was impressed but I am still fighting pre-diabetes and the only thing that will help fully reverse the insulin resistance is to lose weight by reducing my body fat - but it is almost impossible for me to drop weight even while being medically supervised so he tested my IGF levels - I am just on the border of being able to get a prescription legally so he suggested that I try a natural product. He had recommended that I try Trans-D Tropin but after a lot of research I found your site and wanted to try Secretagogue Gold instead.

Since you have a lot of knowledge on natural vitamins I wanted to let you know what I am taking (also if you feel something is too high of a dose and it is being wasted please interject as my doctor knows absolutely nothing about natural products or vitamins and the doses I am taking are based off of my own research)

I start the day with a complex sugar blocker and wait between 15 and 30 minutes before eating or taking my other pills - would you know if this stops absorption of my other vitamins by any chance since it is a soluble fiber - do I need to allow a longer period before I take other vitamins?
WellbetX - PGX with Mulberry (soluble fiber -complex & sugar blocker) 2 pills before I eat in the am - 2 pills before dinner

Then 15-30 minutes later I take

To help with extra estrogen from PCOS I am taking ( I have not started to ovulate again yet but my PMS has been almost eliminated)
DIM-Plus by Nature’s Way (Diindolylmethane) 2 caps in the morning
    Calcium D Glucarate - 250mg - in the morning

To help control my blood sugar throughout the day and it has been working I take
Alpha Lipoic Sustain 300 with Biotin by Jarrow Forumulas (1 pill am and then 1 pill at night) - TOTAL 600mg daily
Ultimate Omega 1000mg by Nordic Naturals (3 pills am - 3 pills pm) TOTALl epa 1950mg, DHA 1350mg, Oleic Acid 168 mg AM I TAKING TOO MUCH OMEGAS AND WASTING THEM?
Natural E-Gems Vitamin E by Carlson (1 pill am) TOTAL 400IU
Chromium GTF 1 pill daily TOTAL 200mcg daily

If I feel my blood sugar spiking on occasion I add Cinnamon Bark from NOW 600mg and I have cut out 90% of wheat, flour and sugar from my diet - shouldnt I be losing weight by now??? Hence I would like to add Secretagogue Gold to my protocol to see if it can help reduce my body fat.

It seems from my research the the ALA supplement I am taking could either interfere or Secretagogue Gold or help it - any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you so much for time!

  • 254 hgh truths // Dec 21, 2008 at 12:44 pm

    Ashley,

There is a lot of health stuff there that we cannot legally touch. We have to keep it kind of general.

If your doctor suggested Trans-D Tropin, he does not know what he is talking about.

Your taking a lot of good stuff and if it is working for you, keep doing it.

Test the Omega consumption levels by taking less and seeing if you notice any difference. Self experimentation is the best way.

Hgh supplements are not really weight loss products but neither are most weight loss products.

Find any way you can to manage the stress. Also look around for a doctor who is trained in Integrative Medicine. They would be of better assistance in finding a more natural path. Search for Andrew Weil and see if he belongs to an organization that can recommend somebody good.

  • 255 hgh truths // Dec 21, 2008 at 12:46 pm

    Ed,

Take your pick. I can never decide which one I like best.

Secretagogue gold is a powder. Hgh Surge is a big tablet.

    Thanks a lot!.
I was just about to buy an hgh suplement and started looking through the web for some choices untill i found a web site that explained that most of these products could be real scrap, so i simply decided to go to GNC to buy L-Arginine and the lady offered me Secretagogue Gold, i didnt bougth it because i was already aware that most of these products couldnt work.
These morning i decided to look through the web to look for these product’s information and my search took me to these site. At the beggining i had many doubts regarding if the intaken of arginine could cause any trouble with the benefits of Secretagogue, my doubts are clear now, and all i have to say is THANKS.
I hope these kind of sites were more common.

    Please and thanks for confirming

I just purchased secretagogue gold for weight loss purposes besides the other great benefits. However I would like to loose 25lb or about 3 dress sizes in the next six months . So can you also recomend a good fat burner that I may conbine with this product. Thank you for your input. Oh I forgot to mention I am 39. Thanks

  • 261 David // Jan 8, 2009 at 10:34 pm

Ok but isnt there somethin special I can do?

  • 262 hgh truths // Jan 13, 2009 at 8:37 pm

    marco,

These products will not give much in the way of results to someone who is only 21.

  • 263 hgh truths // Jan 13, 2009 at 8:39 pm

    Lisa,

I am thinking about the fat burner question but my first reaction is that you are giving yourself enough time to lose the weight without having to use one.

A good and healthy diet combined with plenty of aerobic exercise should do the trick. Maybe try drinking a little more green tea.

  • 264 hgh truths // Jan 13, 2009 at 8:43 pm

    David,

There is nothing special you can do that is going to make you grow taller.

If you think you are hormone deficient, see an endocrinologist but that is an expensive route.

  • 265 Tommy // Jan 21, 2009 at 9:24 am

What is your thoughts on a daily regiment of Secretagogue Gold that also includes omaga 3, multible vitamin and mineral, glucosamine and flaxseed oil. The Secretagogue is taken at night while the others are taken in the morning. Is this to much?

  • 266 beth // Jan 21, 2009 at 1:07 pm

This is for Sylvain, or others, like me, who were unable to sleep taking the Secretagogue One or Gold at night.
Take it in the morning when you first wake up.
Wait at least twenty minutes before drinking or eating anything else.
Better if you workout 1/2 hour to an hour later.
I also called MHP and asked if they had others taking it in the morning and they said, “Yes, and they get basically the same results”.
I know it’s worked for me by taking it in the morning.
    Hope this helps.

  • 270 Marianne // Jan 22, 2009 at 9:31 pm

I was wondering something. I am 50 years old and work out daily.I do aerobics and weight training. I have taken Ultra Max Gold for six months and have seen definite results. These being energy, strength , and leaness. Since i took this product for the max recommended time,I started taking Secretagogue Gold a few days ago . The ingredients are different but i was wondering if I needed to take a break . I hate to lose the strength and energy that i have gained. Is it ok to take the Secretagogue Gold?

  • 271 hgh truths // Jan 24, 2009 at 12:18 pm

    Marianne,

I would suggest taking just enough time off to get to the point where you feel that you are starting to lose energy and strength. Then start up again.

  • 272 Marianne Carroll // Jan 27, 2009 at 7:52 am

I took off for about a wk . Is there any concern about continuing this soon? Since taking the Secretogue Gold (which has been about a wk or two) i have noticed that i am retaining some water. When I wake up in the morning, my fingers are swollen somewhat. My muscles are feeling tight and when i work out i experience an almost immediate pump which i have not experienced before. It used to take some time before….Is this normal? Thanks for your help.

  • 273 Chad // Jan 27, 2009 at 9:09 am

Hi, thanks for the info guys. Just started reseaching HGH products, and releasers. Probably would have wasted some hard earned had i not stumbled upon this site. My question is this: I’m 21 and as you say my hgh levels are probably too high to benefit from any ntaural releasers. I currently cycle creatine for strength, intake roughly my weight(175 pounds) in protien g’s a day, use an no product before workouts for increased energy and focus. I am basically looking for any edge I can gain in esthetics, and function what could you suggest to increase growth while staying healthy? Also define please: ” a good green drink”

    Thanks so much.

  • 274 Dean Schmidt // Jan 28, 2009 at 2:12 pm

    Admin,
After going through your reviews on hgh, I purchased a 3 months supply of Secretagogue Gold. I am considering buying
HGH Surge and cycling between the two products. Is there a sensible method of cycling that comes to your mind? Thanks for the HGH reviews, I could not have made a good selection without it.
    Regards, Dean Schmidt

  • 276 Mike // Jan 30, 2009 at 8:54 pm

Have you looked at GHR by BIEHealth? I took it for several months. It seemed to help with weight control, but not much else. I’m going to try Secretagogue Gold. Hope it is more effective. I’m 58 and fairly active, but have struggled with my weight my entire adult life.

  • 277 Phil // Jan 31, 2009 at 11:23 am

Is Secretogue Gold safe to take with prescription drugs? Lisinopril for high B.P. and Xanax for anxiety?

    Thanks!

  • 278 evan // Jan 31, 2009 at 4:24 pm

not to be ignorant or anything, cuz i personally take secretagogue gold, but after a while won’t it become ineffective? Our bodies eventually become resistant to any kind of drug, and doesn’t that apply to secretagogues?

  • 279 hgh truths // Feb 3, 2009 at 10:48 pm

    Chad,

You are to young to get much benefit from an hgh releaser.

By a good green drink, i mean a product like Green Magic. A killer superfood product. We are going to do a review of Green magic in the next few days so we can better explain the whole green drink concept.

  • 281 hgh truths // Feb 3, 2009 at 10:55 pm

    Marianne,

Vitacost often has pretty good prices. Amazon sometimes has a really good deal but it has not been available for the last couple of months.

  • 282 hgh truths // Feb 3, 2009 at 11:01 pm

    Mike,

We have reviewed a number of the different GHR products. GHR is probably the worst of the bunch.

  • 283 hgh truths // Feb 3, 2009 at 11:06 pm

    Phil,

Probably not a problem with the blood pressure medication but you should monitor your blood pressure daily just to be sure.

Xanax is another story because because Secretagogue Gold contains ingredients to raise your dopamine levels. A pleasant experience for most people but not sure how that mixes with the Xanax. Probably a very case by case basis.

  • 284 hgh truths // Feb 3, 2009 at 11:09 pm

    Evan,

If you are taking a one ingredient this would be very true.

Secretagogue Gold attacks at least three different path ways to hgh release. if your body adjusts to one then it gets pushed more by the other two methods.

If you notice a resistance then switch up products for a month or two.

  • 285 Mike // Feb 4, 2009 at 11:48 am

I started Secretagogue Gold 3 days ago. I read in post 283 that it raises dopamine levels. Could this be the reason for my increased dreaming?

  • 286 Anne // Feb 7, 2009 at 6:47 am

I am a 40 year old woman with a regular cardio workout (3-5 times a week). I recently purchased Secretagogue Gold for myself and for my mother. I drank the mix the the first night and woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible headache which lasted the whole day. I didn’t take it the second night and my headache went away. I thought I would try it again to see if it was a coincidence so I tried it again and the headache was even worse the second time. My mother isn’t experiencing the headaches and I’m wondering why this is happening to me. Perhaps I’m not drinking enough water? I am going to try to take it in the morning to see if there is a difference. Have you had anyone else who has experienced headaches?

  • 287 hgh truths // Feb 7, 2009 at 11:02 am

    Mike,

Thanks for identifying the post. I never would have dreamed that there would be that many comments on this whole site let alone a single article.

Dopamine can definitely be a reason for increased dreaming as can a deeper, more complete sleep cycle caused by increased hgh release.

  • 288 hgh truths // Feb 7, 2009 at 11:09 am

    Anne,

Also where is the best place to purchase this product so that you KNOW it is authentic some sites are scary ya know? fake products and all. Also would there be another product that you would suggest taking along with this? I noticed my estrogen levels are alot lower then used to be, will this product help? Any suggestions on ,mixing this with another?

  • 290 hgh truths // Feb 8, 2009 at 10:41 am

    Candi,

This would be a good product to try first.

Vitamine Shoope is a highly reputable online retailer that has a good price, $45.99, on Secretagogue Gold.

    http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/

Start with just this one prouct. The increase in hgh should stimulate the entire endocrine hormone cascade.

Check back after 4 to 6 weeks if you still want more.

    L- Glutamine……….6g
    L- Arginine………….1g
    L-Glycine…………….1g
    L-Lysine………….1.25g
    L-Carnitine………….1g

  • 299 Whit // Feb 10, 2009 at 7:04 pm

I’m trying to gain some more muscle mass by lifting weights and was wondering if you would suggest using this product as a supplement, or would you think the sheer amount of amino acids in the Life Renewal HGH supplement would be more valuable.

  • 300 hgh truths // Feb 11, 2009 at 8:51 pm

We will soon be writing about a number of different possibilities. For now, try a couple of grams of OKG.

  • 301 hgh truths // Feb 11, 2009 at 9:10 pm

    Sandra,

Secrete-a-tropin is close to Maxi-HGH but appears to be twice as expensive.

You probably won’t really notice results for 1 to 4 months.

I don’t know why Anne experienced a headache. She did report back that she had no headache when she took it in the morning.

  • 302 hgh truths // Feb 11, 2009 at 9:14 pm

    Whit,

That is an age dependent question. 35 and over, go with the Gold. Under 35, go with the straight amino acids.

I am coming up 39 and looking for a decent product that will show actually work.

  • 304 Brian C // Feb 13, 2009 at 6:48 am

HGHT, I’m 37 yrs old, and I’ve been on Secretagogue Gold For 2 weeks now (5 on 2 off cycle) and liking the results. Have you ever gotten any more answers from MHP on exact amounts of ingredients? I’m just curious if you think an additional 500-1000mg/day of L-Lysine would be of any benefit(I have a full bottle). If so, would I take it with the SG or with my vitamins in the daytime? Also, I have a very hard time taking it on an empty stomach, since I get home late and usually eat 1 hr prior to bedtime. Thanks!

  • 305 Sandy // Feb 13, 2009 at 6:58 am

Hi: First, like to say, Great Site! Unfortunately I found the site to late and bought GHR 1000 and Longevity but since bought Secretagugue Gold. How can I stack these products to get the biggest bang for my buck? By the way I’m 55. Thanks, Sandy

  • 306 hgh truths // Feb 13, 2009 at 8:55 pm

    Gaz,

We reviewed Longevity months ago. You can find it on the Big List of HGH Supplement Reviews.

  • 307 hgh truths // Feb 13, 2009 at 8:59 pm

    Brian,

I doubt they will ever provide the exact ingredients.

If you have some lysine to use up there is nothing to lose by taking an extra 500 to 1000mg and should be some boost.

If bedtime just does not work, try very first thing in the morning trying not to eat or drink anything but water for 30 minutes.

  • 308 hgh truths // Feb 13, 2009 at 9:07 pm

    Sandy,

GHR1000 is such a weak product that you could take a full dosage along with the Secretagogue Gold to use it up.

Because if the pituitary dosage in Longevity, I would suggest half dosages.

Maybe use up some HGH1000 for a week and some Longevity the next week then repeat the cycle.

  • 309 Candi // Feb 15, 2009 at 2:15 pm

Hi, Just to verify I started my cycle today so I want to do 5 days on and then 2 off for 30 days correct? also when do you stop and start after the whole 30 days of taking it or a total of 30 days which means you only did 20 packs? Probably confusing you but if you stop after 30 days that would be only taking 20 days worth, also I think I read in here somewhere something about taking whey protien while on segretagogue or did that mean together? I take whey at breakfast and sometimes luch this is okay or not?

  • 310 hgh truths // Feb 15, 2009 at 5:34 pm

    Candi,
I would go the full 30 packets worth which would be six weeks.

Protein supplements such as whey protein are fine as long as you DO NOT take them with The Secretagogue Gold. Breakfast or lunch, no problem.

  • 311 Candi // Feb 15, 2009 at 5:55 pm

Hi, great site and many thanks for your dedication in providing extensive HGH information. Question: I’m about to start my first cycles of Secretagogue Gold and Maxi-HGH. Will taking Maxi-HGH directly after my workout (6:00 PM) interfere with the Creatine Monohydrate (Phosphorous HP) I’m taking just before my workout? Thanks

  • 313 Marianne // Feb 17, 2009 at 7:49 pm

After taking Secretagogue Gold for a month, I have noticed that my fingers are swollen in the morning . I seem to be retaining water. Is this normal? I take it for 5 nights and off for 2 nights.

  • 314 hgh truths // Feb 17, 2009 at 8:21 pm

    Marianne,
Hmmm… Some swelling and water retention would not be that abnormal. It depends on the extent and/or if the condition continues throughout the day.

  • 315 hgh truths // Feb 17, 2009 at 8:27 pm

    Shawn,
I don’t see any problem. The creatine would have had full uptake into the system before the workout so there should be no conflict with taking Maxi-HGH after.

  • 316 Keith // Feb 17, 2009 at 9:27 pm

    Amazing site…

Two quick questions. First I am 31, and know that this product is tailored to those over 35. Would it be a bad move for me to take this? I work out 4 to 5 times a week and looking for the positives that an HGH product such as this may bring…

Secondly, if this is a good product for me to try how many packets a day would I take? All of the items written about the product state to take it at night or before meals, but how much?

    Thank you for the help!

  • 317 hgh truths // Feb 18, 2009 at 7:34 am

    Keith,
ALL growth hormone supplements should say that they are designed for people over 35. The ones marketing to people who are younger are just trying to make a buck.

it is not a bad move to take the product if you are a little bit younger. You should just be aware that the results won’t be as great as if you were 10 years older.

You really only need to take one packet per day. The best time to take it is before bedtime. Second best time to take an hgh hormone supplement is first thing in the morning. You want to take growth hormone supplements 30 minutes before a meal or two hours since last eating anything. Longer from a meal is better.

  • 318 Brian // Feb 18, 2009 at 11:54 am

So if you’ve had a snack, a beer, anything within an hour or two of going to bed, wait til morning? Since taking it at night will help you sleep better, (I’ll vouch for that!) I don’t want to take it in the morning and be tired til noon. If I do, no food, coffee, anything for a 1/2 hour and it should work just about as well as taking on an empty stomach at night? Also, If I understand right, the proper cycle for most people is 5 on 2 off for 12 weeks(2 boxes of 30 pkts) then off for minimum 7 days to 30 max, or do you go 18 wks? Again, thank you very much for ALL the info on the site.

  • 319 Keith // Feb 18, 2009 at 12:48 pm

I really appreciate the help… Thank you again much appreciated.

  • 320 hgh truths // Feb 18, 2009 at 9:06 pm

    Brian,

You got the idea down perfectly. If you stomach is actively working on digesting something it will mess with the uptake of the growth hormone supplement.

I would go for the break at 12 weeks. This will give you better long term results from your growth hormone therapy.

Thank you for the great site! I have found it very informative.

I am 35, and have lost 85lbs over the past year. I am back to playing baseball in a mens semi pro league and am following an exercising program.

I am 6ft tall and 212lbs. My Doc says with my stature I should weigh around 205. These final 7lbs are STUBBORN!!

Currently, I am taking the following:

    1) Glucosamine (4500mg daily)/Chondroitin (3600mg daily)

    2) Omega 3 Fish oils (3000mg daily)

    3) Vitamin E (400 I.U. daily)

    4) 1 Baby Aspirin daily

    5) Multi Vitamin

    6) Reliv Now Supplement @ Breakfast (2 scoops with 20oz Green Tea)

    7) MHP’s “Dren” in the morning

    My meals generally include:

Breakfast: Reliv Now with a banana

Lunch: Reliv Now, and a salad

Dinner: Baked Chicken Breasts (with sauerkraut 3x a week)

Do you think adding “Secretagogue Gold” would be a benefit to my supplements? Would there be any adverse reactions to stacking it with “Dren”?

And finally, have your “Test Subjects” notice any benefit of “Secretagogue Gold” aiding in firming up the skin?

Again, thanks for the website, it has been very educational.

    -Scott

  • 323 hgh truths // Feb 20, 2009 at 10:01 am

    Scott E,

Those stature charts seem to want people to be ultra skinny. Recent reports seem to show that a small numbers of extra pounds actually make a person healthier.

Secretagogogue Gold could be a good addition because it serves a purpose that is entirley different than the rest of the things you are taking.

Drenbuterol-Dren is just one of those weird supplements so combining them is up to you.

Growth hormone supplements have different benefits for different people. I have seen some people with gray hair get their color back when other people do not. Some people report firmer skin and some do not. The greatest number of reports regarding firmer skin seem to come from women. Maybe because they are paying more attention.

  • 324 Mark // Feb 22, 2009 at 9:49 am

Well, to start, I’m a personal trainer and have seen people get mixed results from tons of different things, to the point that I’m unsure of what I should be taking. Currently, I take medication for ADD which is a pretty good appetite suppressant, I also take Clenbuterol and I’m planning on ordering some Secretagogue Gold. Should I be worried at all about the different things overlapping?

  • 325 hgh truths // Feb 23, 2009 at 10:33 pm

    Mark,

Sorry. We are not going to touch this one with a 50ft pole. You are talking about whether taking a prescription medication with a controlled substance conflicts with a dietary supplement.

Clenbuterol is iffy in the best of circumstances and can have some very strong negative side effects. Combining clen with an ADD drug probably means to forms of speed at once. Why not just snort crystal meth?

    Shawn,
Start with just one product and then add in some of another when you cycle later on. Do this at some point when you feel like you have plateaued. We keep saying that more is not always better.

  • 333 hgh truths // Mar 5, 2009 at 3:29 pm

    William,

It is hard to say. A headache could be as much a result of having stopped taking products your body i9s used to as much as it is from taking something new.

Stop for a few days and see if the headaches go away. If they do, start up again and see if they come back.

Somebody else reported having a headache at night but it went away when she tried the product in the morning.

I have never had this problem with Secretagogue Gold. I have gotten headaches from some testosterone boosters that increased blood pressure.

Hello, I am a 21 year old male and I was looking into possible HGH supplements. I am looking for something that could help me get a little taller (I hit 5′10″ at 14 and haven’t grown since) and could help in muscle building. I read your previous answers saying that for a guy my age results with Secretagogue Gold would be minimal. Is there anything you suggest that could help me grow an inch or two and add some muscle? Thank you so much for all your help!

  • 342 hgh truths // Mar 16, 2009 at 8:54 pm

    Kevin,
There is nothing that is going to help you grow any taller.

The best thing for muscle building is extra protein and dedicated mixed weight workouts.

I’m 39 and started taking Secretagogue Gold a few weeks ago and am doing the 5 days on and 2 days off cycling.

I’m in good shape and this has been awesome for me.

I can tell you that I immediately started sleeping through the night much better. I also feel better overall. It’s hard pin it down but I’m sold on it.

  • 346 Rob B // Mar 19, 2009 at 11:52 am

    Hello All,

I am 55 years young and started taking Secretagogogue Gold a little over a month ago. I am half way into the first week of my second months box. However, I missed a week in the first month as I went on vacation and was concerned about taken the packets through airport securities xray machine out of fear I would harm the contents. I take other supplements, but no other HGH enhancers.

I have no reports of good or bad results at this point. And I don’t expect to see any notifiable changes until 3 - 6 months has passed and brought a six month supply to support this expectation. I will say I am surprised how good the stuff tastes compared to the straight amino mix I took for a short while twenty years or so ago. That stuff would gag a horse!

I wish to address the issue of cycling Secretagogogue Gold. According to its developer, Dr.Vincent Giamapapa, Secretagogogue Gold does not have to be cycled and can be taken daily without interruption safely and effectively.

The below is directly from Dr. Giamapapa’s FAQ Section, Question #10:

    10. Do you have to cycle Secretagogue-Gold™?

Secretagogue-Gold is unique because it stimulates your body in a natural fashion. Because of this, there is no need to cycle Secretagogue-Gold. The daily use of Secretagogue-Gold is recommended for maximum long-term benefits.

Up to this point, except for the period when I was away on vacation, I have been taking the product without any cycling breaks. Any comments regarding this is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much!

    Regards,

    Robert B.

Good to here more positive reports.

  • 348 hgh truths // Mar 19, 2009 at 8:15 pm

    Rob B,

Straight aminos are usually harder to get down that a shot of cheap whiskey.

Despite what the brochure says, everyone I know says that you get better results with cycling. This has also been my personal experience.

  • 349 anthony // Mar 20, 2009 at 2:40 am

was there something wrong with my question

  • 350 Rob B // Mar 20, 2009 at 6:22 am

    hgh truths,

Thanks for your comments. For my clarification, how many days weekly do you cycle off of the product?

What I didn’t say in my first post is in the first month I didn’t exercise at all. Now I am working out with an elliptical walking machine for fat burning. I am adding body weight toning exercises starting in a week or two.

My plan is to ease myself into what will become a five/six days a week routine of three days of fat burning and muscle toning and two or three days of only fat burning workouts.

Past experience tells me jumping into a full bore workout program will result in me burning myself out and stopping the exercise program.

    Been there, done that.

  • 351 hgh truths // Mar 20, 2009 at 8:02 am

    Anthony,

Nothing wrong with the question. We just missed it when answering a number of comments.

At your age Secretagogue Gold won’t hurt but you are not in the sweet zone of age where it has the greatest effect.

i appreciate, what would u recomend for someone my age and my criteria to help my gain lean muscle and burn fat?

  • 354 hgh truths // Mar 20, 2009 at 3:44 pm

    anthony,

Just keep doing what you are doing. Make sure not just to watch the carbs but also the total calorie intake.

One weight loss trick is to throw in some very low calorie days each week. Like ever second or third day. Take good protein supplement as shakes and keep the rest of your calories as low as you can handle. Your metabolism will still be burning calories like a normal day. You can probably drop an easy extra pound a week this way.

  • 355 Brian B. // Mar 21, 2009 at 2:57 pm

First of all, great website. A half hour on this website probably saved me couple hundred bucks.
You mentioned several times that this isn’t really a product for young people. So what in your opinion is an optimal product for 19/20 year olds - be it for building some muscle, shedding some fat, or to crank out a couple last centimeters of growth?

  • 356 hgh truths // Mar 22, 2009 at 10:14 am

    Brian B.,

Glad we could keep you from wasting money.

The best thing for 19/20 year old is exercise and plenty of protein. Nothing is going stimulate any extra centimeters of growth that are not already genetically programed.

  • 357 Ollie // Mar 24, 2009 at 2:49 am

Once started, do you have to take this product forever?

    thanks for great website

  • 358 hgh truths // Mar 24, 2009 at 7:24 pm

    Ollie,

No you do not have to take it forever.

  • 359 Ollie // Mar 25, 2009 at 3:45 am

I should have been clearer, although i expect it’ll be a difficult question to answer..

Once you start taking it, lets say for a few months and then stop, do you instantly lose any of the benefits that you may have got while on it?

2nd. do your natural hgh levels fall back to a level that was below the level of when you started because your body has been relying on a booster?

3rd, just asked a doctor about it, he said the ammount of hgh that would get through the stomach into the bloodstream would be so minimal, it would be pointless.

    What are your thoughts? thanks

  • 361 Ellie // Mar 26, 2009 at 12:48 am

Hello, My Secretagogue Gold package arrived a couple of days ago. I wasn’t expecting such a large box!! In any event, I notice it says that the best time to take it is 2-3 hours after a meal at bedtime and that it is best to have an empty stomach. My question is really, is it the before bedtime or empty stomach that is the most important? I can take it 2-3 after a meal before bedtime but I don’t feel hungry at time so am guessing that I don’t have an empty stomach. Is this a problem i.e. do you have to take it when you are hungry? If that was the case then I would really need to take it in the morning but I would like to obviously get the maximum results. Sorry if this sounds like a really scatterbrain question! Am just conscious that for the price I’d like to get the most out of the product since it has such great reviews!

    Thanks, Ellie.

  • 362 hgh truths // Mar 26, 2009 at 7:17 am

    Ollie,
When you stop you do not instantly lose any benefits.

Your levels do not fall below the levels were you started. They are usually higher but will start drifting to a new equilibrium after awhile. Only natural because you keep aging.

With a product like Secretagogue Gold you are not taking any actual hgh. You are taking nutrients that stimulate the bodies own natural release of hgh.

  • 363 hgh truths // Mar 26, 2009 at 7:21 am

    J Rob,

I personally saw results taking hgh secretagogues at 33. (Secretagogue Gold did not exist then.) They were not as pronounced as the benefits I saw doing a cycle at 43.

  • 364 hgh truths // Mar 26, 2009 at 7:52 am

    Ellie,

You don’t have to feel hungry to take it. 2-3 hours after a meal is good enough because unless it was a huge meal your stomach is generally done with most or all its part in the digestion process.

The bedtime thing is because the greatest natural release of hgh comes during the first cycle of sleep. So you are stimulating the pituitary to increase that release. Morning is not a bad time either just a few percentage points less good.

Hi, thanks for replying so quickly! This site really is fantastic! I am a 29yr old female and predominantly wanted to start on SG for it’s anti-ageing benefits. Do you think it’s too early i.e. when I really need it my body won’t respond to this kind of supplement at a later date or do you think it will just slow the ageing process down? In terms of tiredness etc. I am always pretty shattered and I don’t know what other people my age feel like but I definitely don’t feel like a ’spring chicken’ anymore! Thanks, Ellie

He also complains of being cold all the time which I think is a result of low thyroid (even though that has come back normal). He drinks and smokes and I read on another site that doing so could keep these products from working. Is that true and if so is there anything else he can take to combat this.

I’ve taken Secretagogue Gold for two nights and have had a hard time staying asleep. It seemed like I was awake all night or in some kind of light “twilight” sleep. Got through the day ok, but not looking forward to another disturbing half-awake night. Is this common? Is there anything I can do about it. OK Guys I need some help here as I dont know what to do.I’m 40 years old and 5′2 weigh 139lb. I’ve been taking Secretagogue Gold steadily now for 3&1/2 months every night before going to bed on an empty stomach . I have seen some nice results as far as my skin looks better and I have lost 11lb . Also my muscle tone looks better and I have lost some inpressive inches. I go to the gym 3 times a week lift for 1 & 1/2 hr and I do the tred mill for 40 inutes . I have also cut my calories to 1000 per day and also cut my fat intake and no soda or soft drinks. Now for my big dilema for the past 2 weeks I get up in the morning and feel light headed most of the day. I feel as if I was out drinking heavely the night before and have a bad hang over. I dont drink alcohol at all. Also I have the shakes. Like my hands shake. And my ears buzz and they are clogaged as if when you climb the altitude all of a sudden . I have stopped taking the Secretagogue Gold for 2 weeks and the symptoms stopped . I started taking it again for the past 2 days and my symptoms came back. I also take a multi vitamin and fish oil. Can it be something else like the vitamins. I dont want to go to my doc and explain to him what I’m taking . Can you help me and give me some input or idea of what may be going on. Your advice would be verry apreciat it. Am I not eatting enough? I like this stuff but I cant keep feeling like this. Any sugestions? Thank you for your input. Lisa

  • 377 hgh truths // Mar 31, 2009 at 5:43 pm

    Jan,

Secretagogue Gold tends to increase dopamine levels which can give some people the experience you are describing. Usually it goes away when you get used to the product.

You could always switch to taking the product first thing in the morning.

  • 378 hgh truths // Mar 31, 2009 at 5:51 pm

    Lisa,
Strange that you took the product for months and were fine then have a reaction now.

First thing to try would be to see what happens when you take it first thing in the morning. If that doesn’t cause a change then stop taking the Secretagogue for awhile and switch to a straight amino acid product like Maxi-hgh.

1000 calories is pretty low. if you do that for very long, your body starts to slow down the metabolism which can make it harder to lose weight. One way to trick your body is to eat at a slightly higher calorie level for three days and then on the 4th day eat as little as possible.

  • 379 Tim // Apr 1, 2009 at 6:30 am

Could you buy secretagogue one and secretagogue gold and use each product every other day? example one on monday, gold on tuesday, one on wed, gold on thurs, one on friday take the weekend off and start with gold on monday and so on so you would be taking both of the products because you said you liked them both but you wish there was a product that had the anterior and the alpha. and if you rotate it this way you arent taking the same one on the same day every week. Even if you dont know if this will work is it safe for me to try this?

  • 380 hgh truths // Apr 1, 2009 at 7:53 am

    Tim,
Start with one product. Take it for awhile and see what you think. Then try the second product for awhile and see what you think.

Then get complicated if you must. Though it makes more sense to rotate on a monthly basis.

I got my first box of Secretagogue-Gold this afternoon. I’m trying to understand a few things. I eat dinner around 6pm. I have a handful of nuts around 8:30. so 10:30-11 is optimal time for me to take Secretagogue-Gold. That is no problem. I also take ZMA before bed. Is it okay to take ZMA at the same time I take Secretagogue-Gold?

I also have a 1 scoop Casein Protein shake an 30 min. after I take my ZMA. Will my Casein Protein shake mess up the effects of Secretagogue-Gold?

    Any suggestions?

I should’ve given more info I think. I’m 36 years old. I work out 3 times a week. I have been working out for over 3 years now. I was 270lbs when I started and I lost 90 lbs. Now I’m right around 190lbs.

Last night I had my Secretagogue-Gold 2 hours after dinner. 30 min later I took my ZMA. an hour later I had my Casein Protein shake right before bed. Do you think this is good? I know I read on here not to take Secretagogue Gold with the protein.

    Whey Protein
    Casein Protein
    Multivitamin
Tribex Gold - natural Test booster
    Secretagogue Gold
    ZMA

  • 383 Mpstat // Apr 2, 2009 at 10:14 am

L-Citrulline when combined with L-Arginine results in a benefit for cardiovascular health. I am taking Secretagogue Gold already. Does it make sense to start taking L-Citrulline&L-Arginine at different time of the day then SG, or SG already provides similar benefits and no extra L-Citrulline&L-Arginine needed. Thanks!

  • 384 hgh truths // Apr 2, 2009 at 11:16 am

    Mike,
ZMA should not mess with the Secrtetagogue Gold. It would be better to give a few more minutes before the protein or take it at a different time of day. #0 minutes would be the absolute minimum.

  • 385 hgh truths // Apr 2, 2009 at 11:22 am

    Mpstat,

The Gold does its thing pretty well. A large dosage of L-Citrulline and L-Arginine at another time of day is not a bad thing but might run into the zone of supplement taking for the sake of taking more supplements. So I would put it under the heading of being an individual call.

  • 386 hgh truths // Apr 2, 2009 at 11:27 am

    Mike,
The second comment you made some how got dumped into a spam filter.

The routine you you describe is perfect. The same time thing means at the exact same time. Just like food, the protein would interfer with the uptake of the ingredients in SG. Most of the ingredients in Secretagogoue Gold are essentially into the syatem within 30 to 45 minutes.

My hair which grows very slow has not only grown 2in in the last month but is also very soft even my hair dresser asked what em I doing. I have very nice muscle tone . I’m feelig overall better and more energy and my husband is extremely happy with my labido. I dont want to stop taking the Secratagogoue but I didnt have anyone to turn to. My husband who is 45 and has been a weight lifter since he was 15 and still has the body of a 30 year old is not an advocate of me taking anything even tough of course he takes stuff. I am 19 years old and a college student. I’ve been doing research on HGH since I have to write a paper on it for one of my classes. After reading into it for countless hours I am now considering taking it to improve my overall lifestyle (energy, sleep, lifting, injuries, etc). However there is one more question I’d like to be answered before I would take serious steps in purchasing secretagogue gold. After taking this product, would my body stop naturally producing as much HGH and therefore ultimately be detrimental to my body?

  • 393 hgh truths // Apr 6, 2009 at 8:14 pm

  • 397 Cheryl // Apr 8, 2009 at 4:15 pm

I have used Secretagogue Gold for the first time the past 2 nights and like Jan who posted earlier, I too experienced disturbed sleep. I felt wired both nights and just didn’t feel like I ever got into a deep REM sleep. Last night I tried taking 3 mg. of Melatonin for the first time but it didn’t seem to help my sleep at all. I will try taking the Secretagogue in the morning as you suggested to Jan. But I have also had another symptom that I could not see anyone else has posted about. I woke up this morning with an extremely aching shoulder joint. I have never had pain there before and did not do anything to strain or injure it. I had read that a clinical trial was done several years ago on another secretagogue product and a small percentage of the participants experienced transient joint and muscle pain. Do you know of anyone who has taken the Secretagogue Gold who have experienced this as a side effect? The clinical trial said the participants only exhibited these symptoms in the “initial” stages of taking the product, whatever that means. I am 46 years old, 5′3″ 110 lbs., exercise everyday and am in pretty good shape but I had a blood panel done because I was freezing cold all the time and my IGF1 level was in the very low but still normal range for my age. I want to give this product a chance. Would you recommend me continuing it for a month (5 days on, 2 days off) and seeing if I continue having the joint pain, or would you recommend me stopping it? I don’t know if this makes any difference, but I forgot to mention that I recently (three months ago) began HRT with bioidentical estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and T4/T3 for my thyroid as my blood panel showed I was extremely low in all of these. Under my doctor’s supervision I am also taking 50 mg. DHEA, 100 mg. 7 Keto DHEA, and 200 mg. Pregnenolone. Could any of these be interacting with the Secretagogue Gold to make me wired at night and/or cause joint pain?

  • 398 Cheryl // Apr 8, 2009 at 5:43 pm

I am 46 years old, 5′3″ 110 lbs, exercise daily and am in fairly good shape. However, I have been freezing cold 24/7 this past year and finally had a fairly comprehensive blood panel work-up to see why. It showed very low thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, IGF1 and DHEA levels. For the past 3 months, under the doctor’s supervision, I have been receiving hormone replacement therapy with bioidentical hormones, including my thyroid. As part of the doctor’s regimen for me, I am also taking 50 mg. DHEA, 100 mg. 7 Keto DHEA and 200 mg. Pregnenolone each morning. My question is about possible side effects of Secretagogue Gold. I just started taking it three nights ago and like Jan, who posted earlier, I found I am not sleeping soundly. I feel wired and just don’t seem to be able to get into a REM sleep. I will try switching to the morning as you suggested for her, but I have a question about another possible side effect. I woke up this morning and one of my shoulders was aching pretty badly. I have never experienced this problem before and have done nothing to strain or injure it. I had read on another site about a clinical study involving another secretagogue product in which 28% of the participants experienced “initial” transient joint and/or muscle pain. Has anyone ever mentioned to you about having aching joints or muscles after starting Secretagogue Gold and would you recommend I take it a bit longer–perhaps an entire month cycle (5 days on, 2 days off) to see if persists? One more question–would Melatonin cause any problems with the Secretagogue? I tried taking 3 mg. last night to see if would help balance out the “wired” feeling the Secretagogue gave me but it didn’t seem to do anything.

    Kyle,
The results for a 20 year old are so minimal that they are not really worth mentioning. A good protein drink with a dose of green super-foods would be much more effective.

  • 403 Cheryl // Apr 9, 2009 at 9:08 pm

Sorry to ask again, but I posted a question yesterday and when I submitted it, it didn’t show that it posted–it just disappeared so I re-posted it without listing a website and the second post immediately came up. A couple of hours later my original post that was sent somewhere to cyberspace came up. Now I am back to check to see if you had an answer and my 2 posts have disappeared? I had asked about whether Melatonin would interfere with the Secretagogue Gold and whether or not anyone has posted anything about having aching joints or muscles after taking Secretagogue Gold?

  • 404 hgh truths // Apr 9, 2009 at 9:55 pm

    Christine,
I don’t see a big problem with that.

  • 405 hgh truths // Apr 9, 2009 at 10:16 pm

    Cheryl,
We have had a pile of comments with questions lately. We try to answer all the questions but only have the time to do so many. Currently we are running about 23 comments behind.

Some people get energized by increased dopamine levels and have a hard time taking Secretagogue gold. This is a small percentage but it might apply to you.

I have never heard of more than a very small percentage of people complain about aching joints or muscles from taking any hgh supplement. This symptom is more common in that kind of percentage for people taking hgh injections.

I never have any problem when I take melatonin with hgh products.

The wired effect could quite possibly have something to do with the DHEA and Pregnenolone. You are taking fairly good size dosages of these. Combined with the Secretagogue it just might not mesh.

One of those thongs top discuss with your doctor. Women have a tough ride when it comes to hormones. Men just get declining levels.

  • 406 Cheryl // Apr 10, 2009 at 5:10 am

Thank you so much for your reply. I hope you didn’t think I was complaining–just trying to figure out where my posts went. I just wanted to tell you that I decided to try at least one full week of taking the Secretagogue at night before I tried taking it in the morning or quit taking it all together. Last night I slept like a baby. I didn’t have that wired feeling I had been having so maybe I am past that now. Also, maybe this is all in my head but I wasn’t thinking about or expecting any results from the Secretagogue for at least a month, but I felt incredible at the gym yesterday. I had so much more energy than I normally do. I am really hoping I feel the same when I go this morning. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to research all of these products and pass the information on to all of us. Your website is amazing. I’ve learned a ton from it. Thank you again for all the time you sacrifice to help all of us out!

    Hi Guys,
Well its been about six weeks since I posted and figured its time for an update on my progress with Secretgogue Gold. Have been working out 3 days a week and have made good solid gains in muscle, for the first 3 weeks I lost a pound a week and then the last 3 weeks I lost 10 pounds. Definitley getting muscle and getting lean. At age 56 I truly feel like I’m back in my thirties physically and mentally. This has also been done with good nutrition but wow I am not going to change anything.

    Thanks Tom

As a side note my other supplements are a men’s 50 plus multi-vitamin, fish oil capsules, creatine and an After Max shake only after training.

    Tony,
We are working on a list of good places to buy supplements but it is more US centric and I am not sure about the UK. Any reputable online vitamin supplement company that carries it should be selling the real thing. Not worth the trouble to counterfiet Secretagogue Gold. Not as profitable as fake steroids.

  • 410 hgh truths // Apr 10, 2009 at 4:52 pm

    Cheryl,
Do to the massive amount of spam we receive, comments don’t go up immediately.

Glad to hear that things are working out for you. Most people who have wired or active dreaming experiences do see it go away once they are used to the product. It is only a small percentage that have a dopamine sensitivity.

This is a really amazing site providing real info free of charge. Please let me share my experience to show my appreciation.

I’m 40 years old asian female, started taking Secretagogue gold almost 2.5 months ago. I started taking half packet on empty stomach before bed 5 days on 2 days off for 2 weeks and then switched to full packet. I did’t have any problem in sleeping; actually I started to have better sleep. But I had the muscle pain in the first 2 weeks of taking it. I felt pain in my left shoulder on the 3rd day, in my left calf on the 5 or 6th day and in my back on the 9 or 10th day. Each time the pain went away the next day so I didn’t stop the cycle and switched to full packet. Luckily I havent’t had any pain since then. I wonder if what Cheryl experienced was similar to mine.

Also, here are some beauty related info for female readers who seem to be the minority here. In the first 2 weeks with half packt I felt only better sleep and more energy, but after I started taking full packet, my cheek became fuller and hair softer. Sadly, under eye wrinkles, lines around mouth and grey hairs are still there. I hope I’ll see more results in the months ahead.
    Good luck everyone!

    April,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences with everyone.

We have a number of female readers but it does seem to be heavily weighted toward males. Particularly young males looking to grow bigger or taller. Probably our fault for not reaching out to a larger community. Going to do something to cure that.

  • 415 Tony // Apr 13, 2009 at 2:44 am

Thanks very much for the reply. I have ordered some from bodybuilding.com. Can I ask how the mechanics of this stuff works? Does it release the normal GH reservoir I (and everyone) has in their brain, so no antibodies will be produced? Or is it a mild synthetic form that is being introduced into my system? Do I start with half sachet per night & monitor for four weeks to see if I have any reactions? Is it best to take mon - fri & give my system a rest over the weekend?

    Thanks Again

    Tony

  • 416 hgh truths // Apr 13, 2009 at 5:52 am

    Tony,
The ingredients in Secretagogue Gold stimulate your body’s own natural release of hgh. You can start with half if you want but a whole one should be fine.
Any combination of 5 days on and two days off works fine . it all depends on what suits your schedule best.

  • 418 John W // Apr 13, 2009 at 1:47 pm

    Hello,

Finally, an unbiased review website, I was beginning to think such a thing did not exist!

I am 32 years old and I go to the gym 3 times per week, mainly lifting weights, with some cardio work. I am really disappointed to hear your “F” rated review of the Proderm HGH (extra strength) patches, but I can confirm your findings, in that they are utterly in-effective and anyone who trys them is basically throwing money away.
Having said that, I haven’t given up on the idea of trying another HGH supplement, the secretagogue “1″ or “gold” perhaps. I just have a few questions: Firstly, for someone of my age, would I see any real difference - I am starting to go grey and started going bald at around 18 :o( ? Secondly, if I take the recommended dosage or a dose perhaps 1.5x or 2x the recommended dose would I be likely to experience any of the negative side-effects that you mentioned that can occur when using HGH? Thirdly, does combining a hgh supplement with other training supplements (i.e. creatine, BCAAs, natural testosterone boosters/estrogen blockers) adversely impact the outcome?
Any assistance you can give with this would be really helpful.
    Thanks, John.

  • 419 Mike D // Apr 13, 2009 at 11:55 pm

Thanks for a great website, with very useful information!

Would you recommend this product for an active 25 yr old male looking to increase energy and strength levels? I play soccer 2-3 times per week, and workout (cardio + weightlifting) 1-2 times per week minimum, but am still unsatisfied with the energy level I reach and would like a supplement that can help with that.
Looking for suggestions before I make a purchase.

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • 420 hgh truths // Apr 14, 2009 at 6:22 am

    John W,

    John W,
For a 32 year old we would expect only a small difference but this would vary from individual to individual. You will get you money’s worth of benefits but they just won’t be as noticeable as for somebody 15 years older. Stick with the single recommended dosage for a month and don’t worry about stronger right now because stronger is not always better.

There should not really be any problem taking this with other training supplements. Just take them at different times of day.

  • 422 Nicole // Apr 14, 2009 at 6:36 pm

    Hi,
This is a great site! I have been reading the posts here and I am glad to see more women posting here.

I’m a 42 years old Asian woman. I started taking S. Gold about 20 days ago, hoping that it would help with my hormones imbalance, menstrual problems, and my low energy level.

After taking it for two+ weeks (5 days, 1 day off, empty stomach before bed), I did not feel that my sleep has improved (maybe because I have a 19-month toddler who still wakes at least once at night), nor is there more energy. My period came early this month at only 20 days since my last cycle, which is about 4 days earlier than normal. No weight loss experienced.

I have endometrosis and painful but light period. I had a fibroid when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2007, and had to take progesterone injections daily for about 2 months during my 2nd trimester. The fibroid shrank in size and my menstrual pain returned 6 months after giving birth. I also had borderline hypothyroidism in 2005-6.

Will S. Gold help me with the problems I described above? How will S. Gold affect a woman’s menstrual cycle? I intend to finish the first box I got. Should I try another box or two to see if I will get better results?

  • 423 Mike D // Apr 14, 2009 at 10:45 pm

I did some research on Green Magic, and it sounds like exactly what I need. I might give it a try.
    Thanks for the input.

  • 424 hgh truths // Apr 15, 2009 at 5:52 am

    Nicole,
Sorry but your question is way too loaded with medical condition information for us to handle.

The only part I can answer is that no woman has ever said that Secretagogue Gold or any other decent hgh supplement has ever interfered with the menstrual cycle. The only products that would probably do that are the bodybuilding supplements filled with supposed testosterone boosters.

  • 425 hgh truths // Apr 15, 2009 at 6:11 am

    Mike D,
Green Magic is a great product. It is very rare that we say something good about a product that comes from a network marketing company but it really is the best product of its kind out there.

The company is run by nice, honest people and has some good products.

If you search the internet you can find a couple of big distributors that sell it direct at the distributor price.

I can also notice the tighten up in the abs and legs. The engery level is also up a little bit. I can’t wait to start working out again and see how the next 60 days goes. Also I’m in 31 in pants now I haven’t worn this size sine 11th grade good luck with it.

I don’t know if Secretagogue Gold is available in Australia. Your government used to have some funny rules about what supplements could be imported.

We did review one product that is available in Australia… SecretaGain. A passably decent product. We would review more but most of the Australian marketers don’t seem to like revealing the ingredients.

Thanks for what appears to be an unbiased website (the skeptic in me says this entire thing could still be a ruse put together by one individual promoting SG, but the sucker in me jumped right in and bought a 4 mo supply).

I am a 45 yo male, 185lbs, in good shape with graying and now receeding hair. I have seen no effects (good or bad) from taking SG for close to a month now and have a couple of quick questions about the product.
    1. Is there any reason that the powder cannot be added to hot water? I found that it dissolves much easier in hot as appose to cold water, and tastes much like hot Tang (the skeptic says “duh”).
    2. If for some reason I miss a night of taking it, am I better just skipping that day and saving the $1, or should I take it in the a.m. and resume the p.m. schedule that night?

Note to Scott M. a couple of posts above: Congrats on SG working miracles for you, but one must wonder if your totally overhauling your lifestyle (new diet and P90X) might not also be a contributing factor in “it’s” success.

I am 6″5 250 pounds 37 yrs old do you recommend possibly taking 1 1/2 to 2 packs for someone my size or just sticking with the single pack of Secretagogue Gold ? Also can my wife take it in her 2nd year of breast feeding ? Thank you for your time.

  • 431 hgh truths // Apr 20, 2009 at 2:19 pm

    Mike P.,
Start with just one. That is often plenty. Maybe try more a month or two down the road. However, more does not always mean better.

Your wife should really wait until after she is done breast feeding.

  • 432 Candi // Apr 20, 2009 at 6:33 pm

Hi I am almost finished with my first cycle of the S.G. feeling great, everyday I wake with a little change here or there that I notice, just a small change but enough to notice, for example today I noticed my hands looked younger..I sleep like a rock and my hormones seem balanced, its a wonderful thing I did try a few weeks on the S.One just out of curiosity and did not like it as well I felt very tired through the day.

So my question to you this time is what is your next suggestion for me take a month off and then when do you suggest I restart and with what product and maybe take twice a day both morn/even? I also have my parents now taking the S.G. It took them a little longer to notice changes then myself but they are older so I figured it would. Do you suggest they take a month off also?

And one last question I know this is not a HGH product but what are your thoughts on the Mona Vie? I am sure you have heard of all the fuss and was just curious of your thoughts?

Thanks again for your knowledge let me know where to let the tip. :)

  • 433 hgh truths // Apr 20, 2009 at 9:43 pm

    Candi,
Here is a quote from the hgh cycling post:
One school of thought is that you do not need to take the whole fourth month off. You only stop taking it until you can clearly notice the effect of not taking the hgh releaser. Plus you add on two additional days but the minimum time off should be seven days.

    http://hghtruths.com/hgh-overview-news/the-basics-on-cycling-hgh-supplements/

Start back up with the SG. If it still seems to work, keep using it. You don’t need to switch or increase the dosage until it seems not to be working anymore.

Everybody should cycle. it actually helps with the long term results and increases personal awareness.

There have been so many of these latest juice things over the last decade or so. It is hard to get impressed. At the price,k I’ll stick to a good Bordeaux.

    Hi

I’ve got a couple of boxes of secretagogold on their way, so I’m going to clean up my diet (no alchohol at the weekend) & add an extra gym day. I’m going to try a eight week on, five week off course. I’m basing that on how I was told to take some gear back in the early 1990’s. Is that a good idea? Someone told me taking this stuff affects sperm count. I can’t find any evidence of this. As this will make me produce (release) my own GH, I don’t see how this is feasible.

  • 448 hgh truths // Apr 26, 2009 at 10:38 am

    Mike P.,
I was probably just pausing to think about how to best answer a medical condition question. The basic answer is talk to his doctor.

The more expansive “for informational purposes only” answer is proceed carefully. This is paticularly true if he has a very high level of condition.

Hgh supplements can sometimes shift blood sugar levels. This is true of products like Secretagogue Gold that contain glycoamino acid complexes. Secretagogue Gold also contains ingredients designed to counter act this and help regulate blood sugar. Not all products do, so you might want to start with a product that contains no sugars of any kind.

No matter what you choose, you want to start him off in the morning when it is easier to monitor blood sugar levels. Testing isn’t a bad idea but most diabetics I know are pretty good at tuning into their blood sugar levels.

Start with a minimal dosage and work your way slowly to a full dosage.

Many diabetics have reported that after a period of time on hgh supplements they have found it necessary to decrease the dosage of prescription medication.

Basic advice is still to proceed slowly and pay attention.

    KB,
It is really all about whatever works for you. I am a firm believer in experimenting to see what works best for myself. Just take care to not over stimulate. The best dosages are those that are approximately right at the point where you feel something.

  • 455 Mike // May 7, 2009 at 10:38 am

I’ve become completely overwhelmed by all of the information available.

I’m a 23 year old male, and have just started working out at a gym.

I’m looking for a product or products that will help me build muscle mass, and also increase sexual potency (drive, quality of erection, and lasting power).

However I have no clue where to begin. Due to my age, I’m guessing HGH won’t be of any help whatsoever.

I’m not trying to look like a body builder, just take a shortcut I guess, and get results faster and easier.

What I don’t want are massive side effects, like a decrease in sex drive, grow man-breasts, or impotency, let alone mood issues, or any other long term heath risks.

What are some products/compounds I should be considering?

I’ve heard of DHEA, and am looking at steroid compounds, but again, sexual potency is of the utmost concern.

    Where should I begin?

  • 456 hgh truths // May 7, 2009 at 12:28 pm

    Mike,

The place to begin is not to worry about it until you are older. None of the supplements will do much for a 23 year old.

  • 457 Mike // May 8, 2009 at 9:36 am

So other than HGH supplements, what should I be looking at?

Right now I use a protein blend called EAS, and it has a number of amino chains.

I also taking creatine, the suggested is a loading dose of 20 grams, but I’ve been doing more like 10 grams per day.

I mean, I saw above Green Magic was suggested.

Obviously steroids probably aren’t a good idea for me, right?

I’m 170lbs right now, and really want to improve my BMI, cut the fat, and look good.

Just general energy level, decreased recovery time, increased results from working out, what if anything is worth considering?

I’m not beyond accepting that at 23 there really isn’t anything that can help.

I really just want to maximize my results over a minimal amount of time.

Also while I’m 5′ 6″, and would love to grow a little taller, there isn’t a product out there that’s likely to help at all with that at my age, is there?

I mean, I’m talking about any supplements, not just HGH.

I love the idea of increased energy, mental sharpness, increased muscle mass, decreased recovery time, and increased sexual potency, but I really don’t think I’m going to see those results from HGH or testosterone, right? (not at my age at least)

So what if any supplements can help me in those areas at my age, even if it’s just a supplement like Green Magic, or DHEA?

Basically, what’s a good “stack” for me to be looking at? Even if it’s just a stack of vitamins, and other non-steroid/HGH supplements?

Is there a safe/light steroid/androgen that I could take? (DHEA would fall under this as well, right?)

Again the main things I’d like to see from a regiment/stack:

    Increased muscle mass,
    Decreased recovery time
    Increased energy
    Higher quality sleep
Increased sexual potency (don’t know if this is really even an issue at my age, I don’t have problem lasting, or achieving an erection, but I can always perform better, and would love to)

Most of all just general increased health, like living longer.

I know we tend to focus more on HGH here, but what should be a part of my plan at 23? I know there’s more I could be doing.

    Mike,
Protein, Green magic, and maybe a good multiple vitamin.

Nothing is going to make you grow taller and if your worried about sexual potency, try taking a tantra course.

    makubex,

You actually think that the testimonials on supplement websites are real? Did you know that if you lose a tooth you can put it under your pillow and during the night a nice fairy will leave you a shiny dime.

Every month brand new products show up on the web with glowing testimonials. If it is a brand new product, how have people been taking it for years?

It is all by the magic of the Testimonial fairy.

i had the same intense headache as anne did the night after taking my first packet. the first night was fine but at around 6pm the next night i felt a throbbing pain in the left side of my head. the pain didnt go away until after i slept for the night and the dizziness lingered for about until 6pm the following night. im yet to try taking it in the morning

but the weird part was other than the headache the rest of my body felt good and relaxed even. and i also had the most vivid dream i had in decades. so i havent given up on this product yet. i think the headache is due to the increased heart activity

ill try anne’s approach tomorrow i guess, i dont feel the headache now

o would it help if i try only half a packet a day?

    secrenewbie,
Decreasiing the dosage never hurts when you are trying to figure things out.

Would taking secretagogues as a 17 year have any effect on my workout goals? See different results from my research. Just want to clearify!!! Thanks!!!

    Kevin,
It would be a waste of money at your age. Stick to protein supplements and super foods like Green Magic.

Just finished my second box of sectetagogue gold and loving the results. Energy -Increasing lean body mass-mental clarity.
A question though in a couple of posts you guys have said probably not enough aminos for the body building crowd. I have some maxi hhg that I had planned to stack with the gold, and on your advice did not. What in your opinion makes a high amino complex different than some of the other products out there?

  • 466 hgh truths // May 17, 2009 at 10:27 am

    Tom,
Glad you are having good results.

The reason we would say not to stack maxi hgh with the gold is that often stronger is not better. You are taking the Secretagogue Gold and getting results. Those results will continue to build over time. If there is a time down the road when the results don’t seem to be happening, that is when you might do a stack. Going for a stronger release at the beginning can often cause your body to fight back against the increase in hgh and slow down the results rather than quicken them.

I believe you are talking about the HGH Surge review. The name Surge is a little off. It will increase hgh and has many good anti aging ingredients but it won’t be that big push for results that body builders are looking for. Hgh Surge will have good results for the people looking for steady longer term anti aging benefits. If it took you 50 years to age what is 6 months to turn back the clock? Body builders want more results now. Even though HGH is not the great muscle builder that sports nutrition companies try to make it out to be.

so how do canadians get any of these products?
should we purchase the ingredients individually or is there a place to get these products?

    thanks

  • 468 hgh truths // May 18, 2009 at 7:11 pm

    dale,
I don’t know the current state of Canadian laws. They used to frown on any products that combined herbs with amino acids. Call Swanson Vitamins and see if they ship to Canada.

Hi. I am 33 and going to order this product thanks to you in the next couple days. I’m on a pretty stricked diet. I’m comsuming 4000-5000 cals and as much protien as posible and a pretty stricked workout plan. I’m trying to gain weight and mass. Will HGH and this product help me? Plus I have to eat right before bed so should I take it in the morning before I eat then. Thanks and great info!

  • 470 Thomas // May 25, 2009 at 7:08 pm

I just had one other question sorry. I’ve read that injectables and “oral” HGH is the way to go. A pill wont work cause the stomach acid will destore the HGH before it gets to the blood stream! Is there any truth to this?

  • 471 hgh truths // May 26, 2009 at 4:25 pm

    Thomas,
At 33 years of age, an hgh supplement can help some. Yes, take it in the morning.

There is no such thing as oral hgh. Complete marketing BS. HGH Secratagogues don’t contain any “hgh”. they are made from vitamins and herbs that stimulate the bodies own natural release of growth hormone.

I am a 38 year male, and have been taking secretagogue gold for about a week and have been taking it at night before bed on empty stomach. Seems to be working my energy levels are alot higher and generally feel better, however my sleep at night has too many really active dreams. I am waking up alot since taking it, should I try to use it in the morrning after waking up? Is there any problems taking it in the morning instead will it affect its potency or whatnot?

Also is it really necessary to take a couple of days off after 5 days or whatnot for some kind of cycling? What is the benefit of that?

    Thanks for any help
