We have spent most of our early efforts on reviewing human growth hormone products by the big promoters. Now it is time to give the little guy a chance.
Life Renewal HGH is made by a company called Reunion Health. It has the looks of being a very small company. The website is one of the few we have read that is not full of lies and deception. Good job.
I disagree with some of their opinions but we are all entitled to have opinions. They do a wonderful job slamming some of the same issues we hit in our reviews. They don’t like proprietary blends or weak, over priced products any more than we do.
Bravo!
Ingredients:
Vitamin C ( ascorbic acid ) 20 mg
Vitamin B6 2.5 mg
Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) 2.5 mg
Arginine 2000 mg
Ornithine 2000 mg
Glutamine 2000 mg
Lysine 2000 mg
Valine 2000 mg
Glycine 1000 mg
Gaba 500 mg.
We are not talking nanograms here. That is 11,000 mg of amino acids. Eleven grams.
This is the real deal. No wimping around behind a proprietary blend. They boldly give the exact ingredients. Our hats are off to them.
There are only two or three things to fault here.
Arginine and Lysine compete for the same receptor sites. It would be better to reduce the Lysine down to about 500 mg and increase some of the other ingredients. They also could have used some better but more expensive forms of these amino acids for a greater kick.
There are also a few side ingredients that could have been used to make it a better, more balanced and more effective hgh releaser.
There is also some evidence that straight amino acid products tend to lose effectiveness after two to four months of usage. You can get around this by cycling products.
Over all they are offering a decent product for $49.95. That much amino acids will cause growth hormone release. A quarter serving added to one of the hgh supplements that has been rated in the B range, would raise that product to being an A.
We are tough judges, so the overall rating for Life Renewal HGH is a B-.

You appear to have an ideal list of ingredients (subconsciously) that you are comparing each of these products to. Of course your reviews are far more informative than simply balancing recipes. But I’d like to know what your ‘perfect’ formula would be (before marketing, purchasing and lawyers crush the fantasy) and how you developed it. Surely lots of questions would follow, but I will keep it as simple as I can. Thanks.
2 hgh truths // Apr 11, 2008 at 11:29 am
Actually, it is consciously.
Last time we designed a formula for someone we got paid $25,000 plus a small royalty. Nobody is paying us here. This is free information.
Some of the ingredient ideas come out in the various reviews. We are eventually going to write articles on all the different ingredients. People will probably be able to figure much out from those.
Another truth is that there really is not one perfect formula. Just a number of good combinations. Each would probably be best for a different group of people.
As part of the eventually series of articles, we will be talking about how to take some of the base products and experiment with additions to make it more targeted to the individual.
Disappointed with the current selection of hgh supplements available, we designed a whole line of products. The website was designed, financing arranged, marketing all put together and quality ingredient suppliers lined up. Everything to be done at top quality while the marketing would under promise and over deliver.
A life curve ball shifted priorities and we decided we really did not want to be in the business of selling physical ingestible products. Too much work.
So this is being done as a more fun and spare time project.
It will probably take us a few months to get all the details you want posted. They will be here eventually.

Thanks for your insights into this stuff.LOts of nisleading claims.I could not find a website for Life Renewal HGH or a place to purchase.Any suggestions.Keep the articles coming and thanks again.PS Isn’t anterior pituitary a primary for HGH release or just amino acids?
4 hgh truths // Apr 13, 2008 at 10:49 am
Your welcome.
Not near my files at the moment. A search for Life Renewal HGH by Reunion Health should get the right site. Most of the searches for Renewal HGH seem to turn up only the scam spray product that we have already reviewed.
Anterior pituitary is just one ingredient that can stimulate hgh release. There are a number of good products that don’t use it. The people who make Life Renewal are dead set against the use of pituitary peptides. Can’t say that I agree with them.
5 karl // Apr 13, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Thanks for the response but I tried that address before I wrote you. Can’t find it anywhere so if you can help me out great! Yahoo PS is there a certain form of anterior pituitary that should be used ie. extract, tissue, etc.
6 admin // Apr 13, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Most of the seperate anterior pituitary supplements are straight tissue. There are more specific extracts and petides but they might only be available to manufacturers and not as stand alone products.
Product name and manufacturer should get you the right site in a search on any of the search engines. If not try a different engine.

any concerns about mad cow disease from pituitary or their claim its destroyed by the stomach?
Thanks
Karl
8 admin // Apr 14, 2008 at 7:26 am
I don’t worry about mad cow disease from pituitary anymore than I worry about it from a cheeseburger.
Everything that goes into your stomach gets”destroyed”. The more accurate term would be digested. Same as with the cheeseburger.

I found their website after much searching at besthghsite.com, but I could find nothing on Health Reunion, except that it’s located in Gilbert, AZ and has 2 employees. Should we wonder about that?
I hope you don’t mind a bunch of questions, and I hope they’re not too ignorant. I’m a 43-yr old man, I usually work out regularly, and I’m interested in beginning a supplement, but I’m doing a lot of research before I spend the money AND put something in my body that may or may not work.
I read all of your reviews and settled on 3 of your highest rated: Life Renewal HGH you graded B- (I like the big amounts of ingredients, but I wonder why they contain much more than their competitors, and simply if there are enough ingredients to be effective), Secretagogue Gold you graded B+ (I like that you rated it high and that your guinea pigs liked it, but I wonder about all of those ingredients and their lack of disclosure), and HGH Surge you graded B (I like the neurotransmitter effect, but, like you alluded, I’m not sure about messing with my brain chemistry!)
Here we go:
1. Life Renewal HGH claims that cycling isn’t necessary, but you said that amino acid products can lose effectiveness after 2-4 months. Do you always recommend cycling?
2. Life Renewal HGH quotes Dr. Ronald Klatz’s book “Grow Young with HGH” quite a bit, especially when it comes to amounts. Their product certainly contains some large doses (compared to so many other products), evidently in line with Dr. Klatz’s studies. You said that they could actually increase some ingredients. Compared to what most other products contain, most of it seems like a lot. Why do you feel other products don’t contain more, particularly based on Dr. Klatz’s research?
3. Incidentally, Dr. Klatz claims on his website that he is the founder of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Similarly, Dr. Vincent Giampapa, who formulated Secretagogue Gold, claims that he co-founded the Academy. Anyway, Secretagogue Gold has a LOT of ingredients. How could all of that be necessary/effective? What about their lack of disclosure, yet you rated them a B+? That was the highest grade you awarded in your reviews. Also, Secretagogue Gold doesn’t contain arginine. How do you feel about that ingredient and its omission here? I’ve seen some products with nearly 3,000 mg. of it and more. Isn’t arginine one of the main components in releasing growth hormones?
4. How do you feel about Life Renewal’s omission of chromium, which I read is a crucial component required to transport glucose from the blood into the cells? Again, somehow it seems they have much fewer ingredients than others, but, like you already suggested, “they could increase some of the other ingredients. They also could have used some better but more expensive forms of these amino acids for a greater kick. There are also a few side ingredients that could have been used to make it a better, more balanced and more effective hgh releaser.”
5. HGH Surge affects neurotransmitters, and its label lists a lot of warnings. I like the idea of a mood elevator (perhaps the most desired effect that I seek) but I want to feel comfortable that the chances of feeling freaky are pretty slim. I know you can’t say what would happen if I took it, but what’s your opinion regarding such chemistry, and how similar might it be to prescription medication?
6. I’m also intrigued by some other products, and the more I surf the net, the more overwhelmed I get. Stemulite is not a HGH but it touts the same types of benefits (one problem is that on its website, it makes some outrageous claims, despite the celebrity testimonials and newscast articles). Vivaxl and Restoragemen are others, which contain high doses of arginine, 2,800 & 3,150 mg. respectively. Are you familiar with any of these yet? I wonder how many of these things are just pseudo-viagra energy potions?
Well, it’s a lot of questions and I hope you can help. I’m looking for what so many people are looking for and what so many products claim to provide: better sleep, increased muscle gain, recovery and endurance, and increased wellness, energy, and alertness.
Thanks for your help, your time, and your expertise!

I don’t worry about the number of employees. Most vitamin companies just distribute products and don’t do their own manufacturing.
1. We always recommend cycling.
2. Ron’s book is pretty good. Hand sold 1,000s of copies a decade ago. The problem is that it is a decade old and there have been some advances since then.
Life Renewal uses the large dosage of amino acids approach. If you focus on fewer aminos and add in any of a dozen hgh releasers, you can use less aminos. In fact you can make an hgh releaser without using any amino acids.
Most products don’t contain more amino acids because they are cutting costs. We have reviewed a number of products that just stick the amino acids on the label but don’t contain enough of anything to be of much use.
Simple put, a lot of people sell expensive crap just to make a buck.
3. All the ingredients are not really necessary for hgh release but they are added in because this is an age management product not just an hgh releaser.
We graded Secretagogue Gold down because of the lack of full disclosure. We will probably never give a grade in the ‘A’ range to a product that use proprietary blend on the label.
Frankly we gave Dr. Giampapa the benefit of the doubt because he is one of the originators of hgh stacks. Most of the others riff off of his work. He is a reputable guy.
Arginine is just one amino acid. You do not have to have it in a product for the product to be good. Many products do use it as their main lead ingredient but it is just one of about six amino acids that could hold that honor. You could use any one of them in a large amount and get hgh release.
4. Life Renewal works on the large dose of amino acid theory. They give you plenty of amino acids to do the trick.
5. If you start by taking just one tablet the chances of feeling freaky are pretty slim. The exception would be for people who are currently taking a prescription drug because they have a diagnosed problem. Zoloft users, folks who are bi-polar and the like. Be safe.
It is not necessarily similar to any prescription medication. We just like to error on the side of caution because some people are very sensitive.
6. Stemulite is nothing special. I wouldn’t spend money on it. The sleep benefit is from the melatonin.
Vivaxyl is arginine and B vitamins mixed with stimulants.
Restoreagemen seems to have decided to go with just Restorage and now be for both men and women. It has the look of a decent product. We have a draft review and might even be willing to try it.
Bottom line is that if you start with anything in the ‘B’ range, you should do OK. Try a different product each month and see which one works best for you.
11 Glenn // May 25, 2008 at 11:12 am
Thanks for all that info. What about some products’ claims that the full benefit isn’t realized for 4 or more months? Or is that just more marketing to sell more?
12 admin // May 25, 2008 at 2:08 pm
Even an injectable hgh program takes a few months to get to full benefits. our standard advice is never buy more than 1 unit of a product until you have tried the particular product and decided that you like it.

I have tried for a couple of months now to buy Life Renewal HGH but the website says out of stock - I have been using Sectretagoue -One for a month and half and have noticed a increase in my workouts - have been able to increase my weight and reps weekly whereas before HGH I was plateauing. I’m 52 tears old my workouts are really improving - my energy + muslcle structure are noticibly increasing - frankly I haven’t seen this much increase since I was in my 20s. I’m starting to stack with HGH Surge 2 caps at night on empty stomach with Sec-1 . Still interested in Life Renewal HGH though wondering what you’ve heard.
14 admin // Jun 29, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Try their contact us page and see if they reply. I couldn’t get it to load but I did give a message through their return products page. Maybe they will come visit and make a comment.
That is definitely an interesting combination. Should be both fun and effective.

Sorry for the inconvenience. As you can tell we are a small company of two, just me and my dad. This is something we have lost a lot of money on and is not our main source of income. We have been very busy with our other jobs but we have changed the flavor and should have some in the next couple weeks.
Once again we are very sorry for the inconvenience.
16 hgh truths // Jun 30, 2008 at 10:35 am
Once again the miracle of the internet works!
Thanks fo the update jed.

I noticed that you suggest stacking a 1/4 dose of this product with another product in the B range (Secretagogue gold / HGH Surge) to create an “A” product. After reading the rest of the reviews I realized an “A” rating doesn’t get tossed around lightly. My guess is you would like a little more volume with respect to the aminos. If thats the case, could I get the same “A” result by stacking Sec. Gold with a 1/4 dose of HGH Surge? Is there some element of Life Renewal which makes it a better compliment to the other B rated products?
18 Frank // Jul 3, 2008 at 11:48 am
As a follow-up:
At 28 years old, do you see any value in starting a GH Stack at this point in my life.
Frank
19 hgh truths // Jul 5, 2008 at 4:26 pm
At 28 years old, you are at an early point. It won’t hurt you and will probably help your long term health on the 10 year plus plan.
The comment about adding extra Life Renewal to other products was made because it is a straight hgh stack that can add an extra boost.
The mixture of Secretagogue Gold or Secretagogue One with HGH Surge is an intriguing idea. I haven’t had a chance to try it because I am in an off part of a cycle and have a couple of new products to test when I start up again.
Once again my advice is to start with just one product and add to it after you have a few weeks of baseline experience.
20 Nancy // Jul 26, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Is there any other product similar to the Life Renewal? They have no product available and I like the high amino acid formula.
21 hgh truths // Jul 29, 2008 at 4:13 pm
The company says it is going to have some more inventory soon.
We don’t really know of any products that are this straight forward about telling you the exact amounts of ingredients in their products.
If we find a hgh supplement this high in amino acids that practices full disclosure we will definitely write about it.

any input would be appreciated
thank you
Pat

Pat,
Not a bad plan. Just remember to cycle.
28 Susan Lewis // Oct 9, 2008 at 4:08 pm
I was just about to buy Life Renewal HGH when I read the full disclosure of ingredients on their website. Apparently it contains sucralose, an in-question sweetener. I am finding it difficult to believe that you would give it a B- rating with this ingredient in it. What is the next best product sans sucralose?
29 hgh truths // Oct 12, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Susan,
Sucralose is probably the least objectionable of all the no calorie sweetner options.
30 John // Oct 16, 2008 at 12:34 pm
what usage would you suggest to me, (concerning life renewal,HGH Surge etc) being a 20 year old active person?
31 Robert // Oct 31, 2008 at 11:50 am
Just checked out their site, and the product is now going for $66, not $50 (not including tax and shipping, of course).
It looks like a good product, but I just bought a bottle of 150 tablets of HGH Surge from a site for $25 (including tax and shipping).
I may not get the full effect of 11 grams of HGH goodness, but I also wont be spending three times as much.
32 hgh truths // Nov 1, 2008 at 5:09 pm
John,
We do not suggest any usage for 20 year olds.
33 hgh truths // Nov 1, 2008 at 5:10 pm
They were running a sale when we wrote the review.
Nothing wrong with HGH Surge.
34 mel // Nov 1, 2008 at 10:01 pm
What do you mean when you say ” cycling “
35 Mike // Nov 2, 2008 at 10:19 am
Wouldnt I be better off take 2 Servings of GH Stack? IT can be had for around 22.00 so even if I bought 2 for 44 total. I get the same or alittle more per serving (taking 2) for less money. Also Universal is well none company
36 SSCM // Nov 17, 2008 at 8:35 am
I noticed the new “in Stock” flavor’s ingredience of Life Renewal doesnt say that it has the 500mg of GABA. Is it still in the ingredients or not? Thanx
