Here is another magic pill human growth hormone supplement product that comes highly recommended all over the internet. Many sites claim this is the best hgh product you can buy. Sometimes even rated as the number one by 97% of their readers. The ultimate hgh releasing supplement.
Faithful readers can already smell where this one is going.
The website gives some pretty good general information on the site about growth hormone. The problem is that none of it is specific to their product. All the quotes on the clinical proof page are about the research done on the injectable pharmaceuticals. They try to make it look like an endorsement of their product. Heavy emphasis is placed on Dr. Daniel Rudman’s work. Dr. Rudman passed in 1994.
Endorsement from the beyond? What courtesy of the Ghost Whisperer?
Another problem is the “immediate benefits page.” There is no such thing as immediate benefits. Even with doctor prescribed injections, the results take time. Some people notice benefits in the first month but most people take three months or more.
Now the ingredients. The list looks good.
+ GTF Chromium
+ L-Ornithine
+ L-Arginine
+ L-Lysine
+ L-Tyrosine
+ L-Glutamine
+ L-Glycine
+ Pituitary (Anterior) Pwd.
+ Colostrum
+ Phosphatidyl Choline
Some good secretagogues in this list. The problem is that the label lists this as a “Proprietary Blend”.
There are basically two reasons for having a proprietary blend.
The first is because they have something new and nifty. One can understand why a company would want to protect such a formula. This would have made sense when hgh supplements first came on the market. But the formulas have not been secret for ten years. Any decent supplement manufacturer knows what to use. Surprisingly few do.
The second reason for using “Proprietary Blend” on the label is to hide how little of the right ingredients are in it. This appears to be one of those cases.
The serving size is 4 capsules for a total of 2800 mg. Assuming this is a legal label that lists ingredients in the order of the quantity included, there is not enough of any amino acid for this hgh stack to work. There might be enough of the pituitary to do the trick but we have no way of knowing. The proper dosage of just one amino acid and the pituitary could allow this product marginally effective.
My best guess is that you would have to take 6 to 8 capsules to get full benefits. Considering it costs $49.95 per bottle, it becomes an expensive option. You can buy good complete products for that price or less.
The product comparison rating for Genf20 HGH is a D+.
“Oh! Stop me! I forgot to address all those glowing recommendations.”
Once again it is all about the affiliate program. Webmasters get a 50% commission for pushing Genf20 HGH. That makes sense. It is worth about $25 full retail. So you are over paying by at least the amount of the commission.

Thank you for posting this. I was actually considering buying a bottle to see how it was. I think my own elixer of youth will continue to be a good diet and regular training program. Thanks!

Paul,
Don’t let one bad product keep you from using a good human growth hormone supplement. We have done some good reviews.

What is the best HGH product out right now for height increases something just seems fake about growth flex v pro, i am 19 years old 5′11 aiming for 6′16′2
4 hgh truths // Mar 31, 2008 at 8:48 pm
The whole idea of any of these products helping someone grow taller is fake. It is just not going to happen. Even with injectable hgh, a 5′11″ 19 year old is not going to get taller.
Why, because you are not hormone deficient. Also you would have needed to try this 7 or 8 years ago.
5 Nate // Apr 1, 2008 at 3:24 am
Thank you, and i am not questioning your knowledge, but i have to ask why this is because the average age of height growth in men is 21, and i grew 2 inches from 17-19, and i have heard of athletes taking HGH at my university growing in height without knowledge of height increase, while they were strickly taking the supplement for performance enhancing, its possible they just had freakishly late growth spurts, but could taking secratogogue gold help emphasis a possible future growth spurt
6 hgh truths // Apr 1, 2008 at 7:01 pm
I don’t want to give anyone the idea that these supplements in anyway help with a height increase. There is no evidence in existence anywhere that shows that they do.
That being said, taking hgh supplements would not get in the way of a height increase.
I also do not believe that these supplements do much in the way of performance enhancement for college age athletes. They are not hormone deficient. They are near the peak of their natural hormone cycle. Supplements are not going to do much of anything.
Nate,
At 5″11 you are not growth hormone deficient. You might grow some more, you might not. Don’t count on the supplements helping but if it makes you feel better take them.
Even growth hormone deficient children taking large dosages of human growth hormone only get a little bit of height gain.

Is there any Hgh product that gets a rating from B+ to A+? you have this hgh truth site but no list Hgh products from best to worst, sure its good to find out that this product is a crock, but this there anything you recommend on the Hgh market?
8 hgh truths // Apr 7, 2008 at 8:43 am
So far only one product has gotten as high as a B+. That was Secretagogue Gold.
Any score of A- to A+ is going to be difficult to get. We believe in grading on a steep curve.
The initial goal of our hgh supplement reviews was to show what a crock most of the most heavily marketed hgh were.
There are a lot of sites that give a list of recommended products. Almost all of them are trying to sell you either the top product or all the products on the list.
We are not trying to sell you anything. So no list at this point. Maybe some day.
9 michael // May 21, 2008 at 7:00 am
wow you have opened my eyes to a lot of scams out there ,but what product is the best ? keep it up nice to see some truth !!!!!!!
10 admin // May 21, 2008 at 4:33 pm
There really is not a “best” product. There are a number of good products. Anything we rated in the “B” range is pretty good. Still looking for an “A” product.
11 Dominic // May 29, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Just wanted to thank you for creating this website. I have spent so many hours trying to find unbiased reviews of HGH products and this is the best by a long way. There are never any guarentees but you don’t seem to be pushing specific products and certainly know your stuff so thanks for the education.
Unfortunatley I have just bought 2 bottles of GenF20 (ordered before finding this site) as yes it is the most endorsed product on the net. I will be purchasing Secretagogue Gold as soon as my supply runs out to aid my power lifting training.
In the mean time, would you recommend I take double the dosage recommended (8 pills rather than 4).
Thanks again for the great site and keep up the good work.
12 admin // May 29, 2008 at 4:56 pm
I wouldn’t hesitate to double the dosage with a caveat.
We have no idea how much anterior pituitary is in the product. Products with anterior pituitary can sometimes make men a little edgy/irritable.
It is not like full blown roid rage. Think of it like male PMS.
If you notice this condition, stop taking the product for a couple days. When you return to normal start up again with a lesser dosage.

i used 6 month supply of genf20 and i was happy with the results to be honest…i used in conjunction with protien and i got more mass while losing body fat…i was already using the protein before so id say the genf20 definetely helped….might not be the best hgh releaser like you said, but i have to say i was pretty satisfied. feel free to ask any questions.

17 hgh truths // Jun 24, 2008 at 8:29 pm
These are deceptive marketers who are claiming that they are selling you a brand new Caddy and charging you full sticker price. What they deliver is a used Chevy.
If you like over paying by over 100% that is Ok with us and them.
18 Bob // Jul 13, 2008 at 11:52 am
With many people looking for a fountain of youth in a capsule and the assurance of it’s exact content for it to work, along with the profit potential better known as greed, How does any one trust the market and all it’s distributers? Who can we trust ?
19 Bob // Jul 13, 2008 at 12:31 pm
I have been searching for a qualified HGH Program to improve my entire health, And to get pass all the chronic conditions i have been dianogst with. At age 61 i’m at a point of being sick and tired of being sick and tired. To read all the variuos web sites on this subject HGH Hormone Therpy and what it can do for you, It leaves one to wonder how can this be ? The real question is what are they really selling the consumer ? If you should suggest to any of these distributors selling HGH that if you where to purchase their product and then forwarded it to a independant lab for testing to see if the your getting the real deal, I bet you would get a non-responce or no reply to that suggestion. Many of these internet marketers are more of good copy and not enough on substance when selling their products. As the saying goes “Buyers Be-where” . Having said all this where does this leave me ? Don’t we deserve better ?
20 hghtruths // Jul 15, 2008 at 8:11 pm
You do deserve better. That is why we are here.
I would not say that the marketers use good copy. Most of it is not honest so it can not be good.
We are saving up some of the adsense pennies to do some product testing later this year. Past experience says that this could have very interesting results.

There is no hgh supplement in existence that is going to help you grow any taller.
23 Kiimmel // Sep 20, 2008 at 10:53 am
So, you say the Secretagogue Gold is the best HGH on the market? Does it help with building muscle mass? I am 6′ 2″ and weight about 183 with 5.9% body fat. I know that is probably ideal but I am still thin. I want to have bigger biceps and bigger pecs. Will the Secretagogue Gold do the job? I go to the gym everyday to every other day. Any suggestions? What else is on the market that is close to the Secretagogue Gold?
24 hgh truths // Sep 20, 2008 at 3:02 pm
Kiimmel,
We deleted the link to the phony review site.
Secretagogue Gold is not necessarily the best on the market. It simply has gotten the highest ranking of anything reviewed to date.
HGH is not really about developing muscle mass.
Working harder or smarter is the top way to get muscle mass short of steroids.
25 Kiimmel // Sep 20, 2008 at 5:04 pm
So HGH is a form of steroids? Or should I say ‘legal steroids?’ One last question (2 part
)…what is the best thing on the market that is worth the money and I am 29, should I wait a few more years?
26 hgh truths // Sep 20, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Hgh is not a steroid. It is a hormone.
I would wait.

I have an injury to my foot and takes supplements. But no matter what food or supplements I take I can’t seem to get enough tissue repair to my foots fad pad. since some of it degenerated from the injury to the front of my foot. And it also effected the back of my heal. I believe this is why I have Achilles Tendon problems. It’s really pissing me off. Do you know any HGH or any products I could take to help promote tissue growth?

I really do not have a good answer for you. If your doctor does not have good advice seek out a specialist in integrative medicine. They tend to have a better handle on these type of things.

31 Carson // Oct 8, 2008 at 8:41 am
I know there is no A product in the market. But can we combine different products to make a good one? I don’t care the expense is somewhat higher.
32 Carson // Oct 8, 2008 at 8:54 am
I mean if we combine different products (probably with two of an individual product), then we can have a combined one with complete ingredients and each ingredient should be enough. Do you have some suggestions?
33 hgh truths // Nov 1, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Carson,
You can combine products. Just start with some thing better than Genf20.

Theoretically, increased hgh levels could help your condition. Try any supplement rated in the “B” range.

I am a 39 year old female that weighs about 145lb about 6 years ago I used to weigh about 115lb. would Secretagogue Gold help me loose a lot of weight and body fat. And if it would how long should I give it to see some really good results. I go to the gym 3 times a week and do 40 mintes of cardio and 40 minutes of weight lifting but very light weight 3 reps of 30. Thank you for your website it is very informative.
37 Ti // Jan 18, 2009 at 3:28 pm
I am 30yrs old, 6′3, 160lbs. Very skinny. I believe it’s mostly due to my Crohn’s disease but I have always been lanky. For the life of me I cannot gain weight. I understand HGH has been recommended to help suppress Crohn’s. Do you have any findings to support this or any recommendations to help me put on weight.
38 hgh truths // Jan 20, 2009 at 9:52 am
Ti,
Prescription hgh is used as a treatment for Crohn’s disease and what I have read seems to show that there has been a high level of success.
I can’t say if any of the nutritional supplements that stimulate hgh release have the same benefit as the pharmaceutical.
In general, weight increase comes from calories, protein and exercise. Maybe talk to your doctor and find a nutritionist who can come up with some sort of high caloric protein supplement that works with your digestion. Then get with a trainer and come up with a weight lifting program.
Best I can come up with for now. However, on these questions where I don’t have a better answer, I keep looking for better information.

Some hgh products would be totally wrong because they shift dopamine or serotonin levels.
I don’t totally disagree with you about doctors but do have to tell you to consult with one. Maybe you should look for a MD who also practices Integrative Medicine.
41 Bourni // Feb 11, 2009 at 6:44 pm
Man, I just got two bottles of this product before I found your nice review. Yeah I’m going to use 6 0r 8 caps a day instaead 4 like you suggested, thanks. Just thought about it now: can I use another brand of HGH with the Genf20 instead of taking 8 caps daily of Genf20? Have you ever reviewed Universal GH Max? What do you think about it? Any suggestion for use together with genf20 or do you think it’s better to take just the Genf20 and when it finishes begin to use the Secretagogue Gold? How many time should I take this GH thing? I’m terrible sorry for so many questions. I’m 46 years old, good shape, work out since 1980. Thanks.
42 hgh truths // Feb 11, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Bourni,
Me, I would send it back.
Otherwise I might combine it with Secretagogue Gold.
We will get our review of Universal Gh Max up soon. it is an Ok simple product.
43 Bourni // Feb 12, 2009 at 8:01 pm
Send it back unfortunatelly is not a good option. I live in Brazil and have paid $20.00 for shipping and would have to pay $20.00 more to ship it back to US, so it’s not worth.
I’m already taking whey protein, albumine and creatine plus some COQ10 and MACA pills and I wonder if taking all this stuff altogether won’t interefere with Hgh supplement, specially whey protein that has some amino that HGH also has. Can HGH effects be mimimized if I combine it with all the supplements I mentioned ? Can I take protein shakes and HGH at the same time?
Thanks.
44 hgh truths // Feb 12, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Bourni,
You cannot take the hgh and the whey protein together, at the same time. The whey protein will total inhibit the uptake of the hgh ingredients. No protein shakes with the hgh.
Taking the COQ10 and Maca pills at the same time should not be a problem. You are also better off taking the albumine and creatine at a different time.
45 Sean // Feb 13, 2009 at 9:58 am
Curious, does HGH releasers (I take Secretagogue Gold) have anything to do with cancer? I’ve read that taking HGH does, but what about releasers?
Thanks and I love the info you give.
Sean
46 Bourni // Feb 13, 2009 at 9:49 pm
Thanks for your answer. Everything you say makes a lot of sense and that’s why I trust you. Man I’m impressed with the amount of good reviews I found about this Genf20 thing. But the funny part is that the majority of these sites have a link to buy the product. But you already have explained it to us: “Webmasters get a 50% commission for pushing Genf20 HGH”
They took me $109.00 (shipping was $20.00) but that’s all they are going to get from me. It could be worst if I haven’t read your reviews you know. I would buy more and more of this Genf20 and never get results. Thanks and keep up with the good work!
47 hgh truths // Feb 13, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Sean,
HGH releasers have no known connection with cancer.
Abusive use of injectable hgh could have something to do with cancer.
If I was diagnosed with cancer, I would probably avoid both.
There is one school of thought that says that properly increased hgh levels could actually reduce the risk of cancer.
48 hgh truths // Feb 13, 2009 at 10:00 pm
Bourni,
Look at it this way… You could have done even worse that Genf20 and now you are on the right path.
Glad we could help you.
49 Bourni // Feb 19, 2009 at 10:59 pm
I have just began supplementing with Genf20 today but I’m not sure that if taking two caps, two times a day one hour before meals as suggested in the product’s label, is really the best way to do it. Won’t the meals possible interfere in genf20 action? I’m taking two more caps before bed also. Give me your opinion about how to take 6 or 8 pills ( take 2, 3 or 4 at a time) a day and the better time to do it please.
Thanks
50 hgh truths // Feb 20, 2009 at 2:08 pm
Bourni,
If you take growth hormone supplements an hour before the meal they should be fully in your system and the meal will not interfere. Usually 30 minutes is sufficient.
It is hard to say exactly how to take Genf20 because we are not told the exact amount of all the ingredients. Spreading the dosage out is kind of ridiculous. Best to take all 4 capsules just before bedtime. Any more than that is your decision.
51 Dom // Mar 25, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Is it possible for a 1 or 2 month supply of HGH supplements to take effect and show results? or is it something that is meant to be taken more long term like over a year or so?
52 hgh truths // Mar 26, 2009 at 7:37 am
Dom,
Some people taking a good supplement notice benefits fairly quickly. Most people notice things after a month or two. I have seen a few people, mostly older, who did not really notice a lot until they stopped the first cycle. Generally the changes had occurred subtly and they had an AHA moment.
I am totally all thumbs up for the longer term!
53 Guitargman // Apr 3, 2009 at 9:21 am
Great Site.
so if one has this GENF20 laying around going to waste, and one did the right things and purchased Secretagogue Gold you ‘could’ take both together at night using the same cycle?
54 hgh truths // Apr 3, 2009 at 10:31 am
Guitargman,
You could take both together. We would suggest taking just the Secretagogue Gold by itself first and working in use up the going to waste Genf20 bit by bit.

64 hgh truths // May 18, 2009 at 7:15 pm

We don’t recommend Genf20. It is crap. Check out the reviews and pick out something you like. If you keep exercising you will see very little loss if any.

Would performance enhancing drugs be better than hgh? If so what is the best performance enhancing drug on the market?

I purchased the Genf20 after surfing the sites for about 30 minutes.
I wish I had stumbled onto your site, because I would have never purchased it.
I order 3 bottles and got a free one, plus free shipping. $164 bucks total.
After nearly two weeks of religiously taking the product, I began to worry that I’d been ripped!
I got up thgis morning at 4am, and decided to surf trhe net to see if my fears were real….and here I am, kicking myself that I fell victim to the BS on the review sites (affiliates).
The GenF20 is CRAP. I am a hyperalergic 48 year old male who is sensitive to anything I take.
If something works, then I know it, and this product does nothing more than maybe keep me awake longr than normal.
I appreciate the tons of reviews, and I am going to persue the battle over getting a full refund.
I am then going to order one of the “B” probucts.
Thanks again.

I’ve been researching hgh products for years and finally decided on genf20, great, I bought the 5 get one free =6 bottles. I’m almost finished the first and have increased energy, thats it. How can I know that your not giving secretagogue gold your highest rating of B because your getting a commission from them? I have found its almost impossible to get an unbiased review. Thank you very much
70 hgh truths // Oct 23, 2009 at 3:59 pm
Brent,
We have no direct connection with any particular hgh product. The only time we might get a commision is if you happen to buy a product from a vitamin store we recommend. In those cases they usually give us 6 to10 percent of the order but it is not tied to any paticular product. The take might cover the umbrella drink bill on the next vacation.
We thought about using our experience in the supplement industry to make our own product but decided that there was just no fun in it.

HGH Truths
Hey fellas I have a question, after a long career in the Marine Corps and racing motocross for 30 years on and off I was talking to a friend that uses the sysnthetic injection type HGH..He swears by it. Im againts sticking needles in my body, ive read all the review on this site and have a few questions before I pull the plug.
Does the Secretagogue Gold help with joint pain and recovery? My knees ache very bad from being a grunt for many years and also how hard motocross is on your body. You give this a B rating which is the highest I found here. Im 39 years old retired Marine since i dont train like I used to my body hurts bad Im looking ofr something to help with joint and knee pain and also speed my metabolism up so I can cut some weight off ive put on. Will this help me in anyway?
What doses to you recommend?
Thanks for your integrity .

Infantry Marine,
I have tons of injuries from my reckless youth and have less pain now than 30 years ago. Good hgh supplements are one of the things that I give credit to.
Costco has a good liquid glucosamine product made by Wellesse that might help the joints.

Thank you for your prior response. I really appreciate you page and the effort you have put into it, and didn’t mean to sound like a jerk. I just want to get a good product. I have 5 bottles of Gen F20 left and have been taking 2 upon waking, 2 before lunch and 2 before dinner, as I read a recommendation on this page to up it from the suggested dose. They are giving me a lot more energy. I want to finish them off and then move to the Secretagogue Gold. Any dosing suggestions? Should I take a break in between, can I take them together? Any input would really be appreciated. Thanks again, brent
74 hgh truths // Nov 11, 2009 at 1:40 pm
brent,
Genf20 doses have
one ingredient that is possibly present in enough quantity to cause a physical response. However, you could purchase a monthly dosage of that ingredient for maybe $9.00.
If I was in your position, I would try taking the Secretagogue Gold just by itself to see what it is like. After two weeks, if you still had some Genf20 leftover, I might take 1-3 capsules with the Gold so as not to waste the money. i would never recommend that someone actually go out and buy Genf20 to combine with the Gold.

I have been taking the MHP Secretagogue Gold for almost one month; haven’t noticed much yet but am in for the long haul. Although it is recommended to take it before bed, I have been taking it in the morning on an empty stomach. Am I not getting the full benefit of it by doing so, or does it not really matter that much? I’ve spent ALOT of $ over the years on different HGH products and feel like I finally have stumbled upon a good one, thanks entirely to you guys, and just want to make the most of it. Thanks again.
